Opportunity Details

The Southern Oregon Out of the Darkness Walk is organized by the local volunteers of the Oregon Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The event draws close to 500 attendees and we need nearly 30 volunteers total to make the event run smoothly. This is an uplifting, hope-filled, yet emotional event, so we are seeking 5-10 Kohl's volunteers to help with the event in 2018. Volunteer opportunities to choose from include working event set-up, attendee registration, event activity tables, route assistance, signage assistance, and more.

Opportunity Details

The Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC) requests volunteer assistance for its annual fundraiser event to be held Thursday, October 11th, at Orlando's in Maryland Heights.
We need volunteer assistance for ANY of the following five roles:
1) Follow-up Calls to potential sponsors that have already been approached;
2) Solicitation of Silent Auction Items by mail and phone calls;
3) Event Preparation Assistance with decoration planning, mailings, set-up layout, etc.;
4) At Event Assistance with the registration table, management silent auction, set up of materials, and event clean-up;
5) Event Follow-up Management to send out thank you notes, tie up loose ends, etc.
These services would be very much appreciated, and CAASTLC knows how to value its volunteers!

VisionWalk is a FUN fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, a 501C3 tax-exempt organization. Over 10 million Americans are affected by blinding retinal diseases including macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome. The Foundation Fighting Blindness is working to find treatments and cures for these devastating diseases.

We are looking for volunteers to help with everything that will help make walk day a success! From setting up the event early in the morning, to staffing our tents (Registration, T-shirts, Refreshments, Resources), to helping with kid's activities, greeting walkers, staffing the walk route, and helping us clean up afterward. They are all pretty easy assignments.

Join Girl Scouts of Central Illinois and Decatur Earthmover Credit Union in Central Park on May 31st for our 5th annual Operation Cookie Share Radiothon. Our friends at Neuhoff Media will be live from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to honor all of those who serve and protect our communities and country. Our goal is to send 10,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to military and local first responders.
