Opportunity Details

Come volunteer at one of the largest free back-to-school events in North Philadelphia! The Back-to-School Carnival sponsored by Drexel University and the Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs at St. Christopher's provides backpacks stuffed with school supplies to children, food, carnival games, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations and much more. Volunteers are needed in all event areas.

The House of the Good Shepherd's Annual Golf Tournament's proceeds will benefit the children at The House by providing resources for the cottages on campus where the children reside. Kohl volunteers will assist by assembling goodie bags for the players and sponsors.

Opportunity Details

The Greenfield Fourth of July Parade and Celebration is in need of volunteers to help us make this year’s event a fun and organized experience for festival-goers.

Volunteer needs include:

Parade Pacers (11:30 AM-1:30 PM)
5-10 volunteers minimum
Pacers will be staggered throughout the parade lineup to ensure participants are not holding back the flow of the parade.

Parking (11 AM-11 PM)
4 volunteers minimum at all times (2 each at Konkel Park’s East and West Layton Avenue parking lots
Lots will be first-come, first-served. West Layton Avenue lot will have select spots reserved for top sponsors and the remainder are first-come, first-served.

Bartending (11 AM-11 PM)
4 volunteers minimum (2 each at the Amp Pavilion and 360 Tent bars) from 11 AM-5 PM
6-8 volunteers minimum (3-4 each at the Amp Pavilion and 360 Tent bars) from 5-11 PM

All volunteer organizations will be recognized on the Greenfield Fourth of July’s website and Facebook page. Parking and Bartending volunteers will also be welcome to collect tips to benefit their organization.
