Please join us for a fun morning of team camaraderie and help us raise money to support our free peer support programs for people with the lived experience or mental health issues and their families. Last year we provided free support groups, caregiver classes and community outreach to over 5500 people. We help people find their way into a new normal after a diagnosis or lived experience of mental health or co-occurring disorders - at any age, or any stage in life. Each year teams gather in friendly competition to see who can raise the most money, or who can bring the most people. We have some friendly rivalries going with Vanderbilt University's Behavioral Health Hospital and the Mental Health Cooperative being our top one. The Alpha Kappa Alpha alumni chapters have been a phenomenal asset to our event for the last three years. There's some talk going around this year that some Delta red and white may show up in the sea of pink and green. Last year the Omega Psi Phi chapter made an appearance from Vanderbilt in Nashville. Late word has it that Murfreesboro's MTSU chapter is planning to make themselves known, too. Goodwill joined us for the first time as a sponsor and said they were coming back with a team this year. You get the idea. People are jumping on board. Churches, businesses, families and friends are welcome. Five people make a team. Each team gets its own mini-website. Team goal is $1000. Any team raising at least $500 gets a team picture. Event to be held Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. Can't make the event? Virtual teams welcome. Contact info@namidavidson.org.
