JA Movie Premiere is a family fundraising event. The percentage of the tickets go to kids in low-income schools and to our charity partners. Kids get to bring their entire families and see a movie while enjoying popcorn and other treats! Students and their families leave with smiles, having spent half a day with the people they love, having a great time. JA adds to the excitement of the theater experience with activities including raffles, door prizes, and trivia.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
Looking for volunteers to help with registration, raffle, and set-up.

OUR MISSION:
We are empowering young people to own their economic success. Our volunteer-based K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential.

OUR PROGRAMS:
ELEMENTARY PROGRAMMING
JA’s elementary school programs are the foundation of its K-12 curricula. Six sequential themes, each with five hands-on activities, work to change students’ lives by helping them understand business and economics.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMMING
The middle grade programs build on concepts the students learned in Junior Achievement’s elementary school program and help teens make difficult decisions about how to best prepare for their educational and professional future. These programs supplement standard social studies curricula and develop communication skills that are essential to success in the world.
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMMING
As high school students begin to position themselves for their future, there are many unanswered questions about what lies ahead. Junior Achievement’s high school programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be highly useful in the work force and world.

In partnership with the City of Ocala, Ocala Main Street is hosting a community New Year's Eve event in Downtown Ocala. There has not been an Ocala-based event to celebrate the new year and local residents are redirecting resources, revenue and economic impact into other surrounding communities. We seek to positively impact our downtown small, locally-owned businesses by driving tourism and offering our residents a celebration of arts, culture and community on December 31st.

This family-friendly event takes place from 5-midnight on New Year's eve in many venues throughout Downtown and Midtown Ocala, including Tuscawilla Park, The Discovery Center, Citizen's Circle, Marion Theatre and more. Attendees purchase a button to gain access to over 15 experiences throughout the evening. We hope to raise over $15,000 during this fundraiser to support our mission of revitalizing downtown Ocala, promoting our small businesses and preserving historic assets of our district.
