Tutoria connects people in need with volunteer tutors via our online platform. Volunteers and clients sign up at https // tutoria.io. They select their interests (English tutoring, US Citizenship, or legal aid) and availability. They then connect with one another via direct message.

Why Tutoria? There is a strong demand from immigrants for education and legal services around the world. There is also a large supply of volunteers offering to teach such classes. The bottleneck is that connecting immigrants and volunteers is done manually by non-profit staff, who do not have the capacity to provide matching/scheduling services. As a volunteer, you will not only create a social impact by helping us meet this need; you will benefit personally by working closely with a passionate group of volunteer professionals, including Tutoria’s leadership. Here are our current openings
English - Practice conversational and/or written English with clients
Citizenship - Prepare clients for the US Citizenship Exam, per the USCIS requirements https //www.uscis.gov/citizenship/learners/study-test
Legal Aid - Refer those in need to legal aid organizations who can help them
Tutoria welcomes all student volunteers to apply with us. However, due to visa restrictions, we cannot accept applicants who
Want to use Tutoria volunteering to fulfill OPT requirements for F1 or M1 visas; and
Have a STEM degree-based OPT.
We do accept OPT volunteers without a STEM degree. Candidates will be required to submit evidence from their institution verifying that their degree is non-STEM.

Our agency is the state’s largest, non-for-profit provider of child welfare services. Our primary mission at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services is to work with families to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Robyn’s Nest is a basic needs repository that strictly operates through the ongoing assistance of volunteers who help organize and sort incoming donations and help us run annual drives. Robyn’s Nest houses new and gently used clothing, hygiene products, infant items, toys, books and other household goods. These items are then provided to free to families within our foster care system as well as those identified to have unmet needs through Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

We love trees! We love planting them and watching them grow.

We want to give every child this joy.

And, in the process, beautify our neighborhoods, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.

Neighborhood Forest is a non-profit, social venture dedicated to giving children their very own tree to plant on Earth Day – for free – every spring. Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has mobilized over 2,000 schools, libraries, and youth groups, engaged over 500,000 volunteers, and given over 197,000 trees to children in all 50 states (plus Canada and Mexico).

Our dream is to reach every child in North America and eventually the world.

We create volunteer opportunities for corporations, which help us reach more children.

Some of these opportunities include:

- Employee pledge drives
- Employee tree plantings, which help fund more trees for kids
- Tree shipping, logistics, and delivery
- Indoor plant kit creation and delivery for kids living in apartments
- Youth engagement and education

If you would like to create an employee volunteer experience with / for Neighborhood Forest, please contact us!
