Outreach Free Clinic and Resource Center provides free health care and prescription services to low income uninsured residents. The clinic is supported by a variety of volunteers assisting in different capacities. The clinic has a current need for volunteers with experience and a desire to help in areas of clerical, maintenance, bookkeeping, and marketing to name a few. These crucial volunteer positions help keep the clinic running in tip-top shape so we can serve the community efficiently and thoroughly. Volunteer service can be a one-time based timeframe for a few hours or an ongoing weekly commitment.

I know of no better feeling than that which comes from helping our elderly neighbors, the disabled, veterans, and people in poor neighborhoods who cannot, unaided, tend to basic yard maintenance—mowing, raking, edging—and, in winter, snow-clearing.I’m looking for volunteers to join me, and experience the same wonderful feeling I get every day I am out there, helping people do what they can’t quite manage on their own, what isn’t hard for me, and that looks so nice when it is done, which gives a boost to the whole street.
Volunteers can have their own shareable profile URL, custom e-mail alias, and phone number extension. I truly welcome any and all help, which can range from school-kids to professional landscapers, neighbors with a bit of extra time, teens, students—really anyone who can help out and would like to.
I started this enterprise, but volunteers are its backbone. They keep the change-making engines running. One guy, even the one in my mirror, can’t do this alone. To sustain it, and scale it ever upward, volunteers are crucial. Think about becoming one. There is no “minimum” work requirement. You do what you can, where you are able and willing to go. Maybe just lawn work and not snow-clearing. Maybe the other way around. Maybe a little of both. Maybe a very little of both. No matter. Whatever you do will be helping someone who can’t do it. And I know of no better feeling than that.

Eliana’s Light provides emotional, financial, and educational support to families with children experiencing complex medical conditions. It is inspired by Founder Whitney Ortiz's experience witnessing the gaps left behind by our broken support systems when taking care of her daughter, Eliana, for four years with a heart condition and transplant. Eliana’s Light's collaborative “C.A.R.E” model works with medical centers, mental health providers, housing assistance and other specialists to give families the integrated and integrative support services they need. At Hand of Progress e.V. we believe that it is not too late to save lives and make a difference in the children's health and education and health but we have to move fast. Schools in Kenya have resumed operation after more than six months lockdown. Despite the challenges at hand, Hand of Progress e.V. is willing and determined to bring safe water and hygience facilities where they are needed most.
