Opportunity Details

Losing a loved one is one of the most painful experiences for someone to endure. On June 2, 2017 the Webber Family faced this firsthand when their son Garrett lost his life due to a heroin overdose. Garrett was only 22 years old and was a young man with an “old soul”, known for his big heart, great wit, and love for authentic coffee. He aspired to be a welder one day, but lost his battle with addiction before living out his dream.

Sadly, Garrett is just one of many who struggle with opioid addiction. As part of turning their pain into purpose, it is the Webber Family’s heartfelt desire to bless others who struggle with life-threatening addictions.

On May 8, 2021 the third annual “We Walk for HOPE 5k” will be held to benefit the Garrett Webber Memorial Scholarship Fund at Genesis Recovery. Proceeds from the event will provide a scholarship for an individual to receive treatment at Genesis Recovery. It’s their hope that this opportunity will free others from the grip of addiction and spare other families from the pain of losing a loved one too soon.

In honor of Garrett and all those who’ve lost someone, would you please partner with us to make this possible? Opportunity Details

The goal of the event is to raise money to support the Mason High School Girls Lacrosse Program. The volunteer team will operate the concession stand for the Girl's lacrosse game and the Mason Track meet. It is a critical fundraising event that supports the effort to provide equipment, uniforms, and other items for our current and future Mason High School participants in the lacrosse program.
