Volunteers will assemble individualized kits for pediatric medical patients. The kits you will assemble contain all of the supplies needed for a pediatric patient to complete an engaging and therapeutic craft activity. We at Project Sunshine will ship materials directly to the homes or offices of employees, and then we will also be able to help with virtual facilitation of the kit packing event. There are 9 different types of kits that Project Sunshine may send out to pediatric patients, and all of them have been designed by experts so they are developmentally appropriate for different age groups. A child may receive a kit upon checking into the hospital, before getting a treatment, when they are waiting to hear news or test results, or any other time the hospital staff thinks a patient or their family needs a little extra support. Medical facilities, families, and kids always receive our services for free thanks to the work of volunteers like you. #Give2024
Kit packing events are generally 60 minutes. And the donation pricing includes the price of the kits, the price of shipping to you and then hospital partners, as well as facilitation. These events are very scalable, so donation costs vary. And since the donation covers shipping costs, you can generally do an event anywhere in the United States of America.
For an at home event it is a $300 donation per home we send supplies to.
For an in office event with up to 20 volunteers, the donation cost will be $2500.
For an in office event with 21-40 volunteers: $5000
For an in office event with 41-60 volunteers: $7500
For an in office event with 61-80 volunteers: $10,000
We have selected 10 shifts for virtual facilitation that you can choose from, however we are more than happy to discuss the possibility of planning an event at a different time or date than what is listed. Approval is subject to the request specifics, and availability of Project Sunshine staff.
