Opportunity Details

There are over 200 active volunteers helping to achieve Cotswold Canals mission, but we need over 400 to achieve the next stage of development. Volunteering on the Cotswold Canals is a seven days a week opportunity. It is not confined to the acitve retired but can be enjoyed by people of all ages who wish to contribute to the restoration of the canals and create and sustain the linear environment of the waterway not just for now but for future generations. The Social Enterprise is a community of systems practitioners working on a myriad of mission-driven projects, social businesses, investment funds, philanthropic programs, purpose-based communities, and other initiatives that represent values-based and regenerative economic models for the 21 st century.

Role Summary:
As the Data Engineer, you will be joining a diverse team of business and technology specialists working together to develop new blockchain solutions to help deliver next generation social, economic and political systems.

Essential Tasks:
1. Transform data into a format that can be easily recognized

2. Develop, maintain and test infrastructures for data generation

3. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements

4. Build data pipelines to collect data and move it into storage

Skills & Competencies:
- Experience in databases and AWS or other cloud infrastructure is a plus

- Ability & commitment to work independently and collaboratively with numerous people

- Excellent problem identification, problem solving, and analytical skills

Software tools & Program knowledge:
Broad skillset in the Financial Domain or Cryptocurrencies will be beneficial for the team.

The ideal candidate’s prior work experience reflects high standards for engineering with proven capabilities. The candidate possesses the ability to take on important business challenges and execute them with precision and quality, Architect and build advanced applications for the iOS platform

Essential Tasks:
Architect and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
Maintain code quality and high standards of development
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Work closely with engineers and product team members to plan, built and test new mobile functionality

Skills & Competencies:
Experience as a developer for native iOS applications
Experience with modern source code management (git)
Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical matters to less technical teammates

Software tools & Program knowledge:
Nice to have Advanced experience working with iOS framework
Strong unit testing experience
Experience with HIPAA and strong security practices
