The process begins with ordering food from our local Meijer store on a monthly basis. Thanks to the generous support of box trucks from R & E Automated, the food is transported to our office. From there, our incredible community of volunteers sorts and packages the food each Wednesday at 3:00p.m. from September - June, guaranteeing that every child receives six meals for the upcoming weekend. The food is discreetly delivered to the schools, allowing teachers to distribute it in a way that respects each student’s privacy and avoids social stigma.

Our annual block party is an effort to bring our community together without financial standing excluding any patrons. All neighbors and community members are welcomed to enjoy free food, resources, goods, and entertainment. This event is our fourth annual block party, and we are seeking volunteer support to provide the best experience possible to our community members!
Sauce Milwaukee started in 2021 as a response to inequitable food access in our city. Sauce aims to assist individuals and families who find distress in the search for food, and the means to move and prepare it.
Our organization takes donated foods from restaurants, grocery stores, and neighbors to make wholesome meals that are free to the community. We bike these meals around the city of Milwaukee at least two times per week.
Our organization hopes to remove all obstacles in the effort to reduce food insecurity and nutrition scarcity.
This event is a gathering of many Milwaukee organizations and non-profits who come together to provide a day of community, enjoyment, and fulfillment.
We hope to see you there as patrons or supporters! Thank you for your time.
