The Glenn Garcelon Foundation will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit brain tumor patients and their families. Taste of Hope will be held in August at Jupiter NEXT in Portland. The evening will include chocolate, cheese, appetizer, wine, beer and silent auction.
In order to hold a successful event, we will need many volunteers to help solicit sponsorships, auction items, food, beverages and/or serve on the committee. In addition, we will need volunteers on the day of event to set-up, break-down, as well as during the event
We would love to have your help for this worthwhile cause.

Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble the Hope Bags. A prepaid UPS label is also included to ship your donation to your local facility. If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for a child in your local hospital.

The Young Philanthropist Group actively engages a diverse group of dedicated men and women between the ages of 21-40 committed to supporting Easterseals programs through advocacy, philanthropy, and volunteerism. Throughout the year, members attend and host fundraising, educational, and networking events, as well as participate in volunteer activities providing the opportunity to interact with the children and families served by Easterseals.”

Our Goals

• Each member makes a personal commitment & gift to Easterseals within their means
• Members will invite and engage Easterseals Seals to participate in networking events
• Members will attend at least one Easterseals run event
• Expand the reach and exposure of Easterseals Brand

The Young Philanthropist Group and its members play a vibrant role in the success of Easterseals. As volunteers, they help provide confidence and credibility in our agency. The YPG is encouraged to interact with Easterseals Board of Directors, staff, clients and stakeholders; while also playing a critical in advancing our mission within their own networks and community.

Opportunity Details

Volunteers are needed to distribute water to the runners from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Lunch Break is the beneficiary of this race and the money raised helps to support our mission of freely providing food, clothing, life skills, and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond.

Every year Grayslake North Baseball Club Volunteers must rake the fields, build the pitchers mounds, reset the bases, clean the outfield fences, troubleshoot the score boards, set out trash cans, and get the fields ready for the upcoming baseball season. Volunteer aid is critical to completing all these tasks within the brief window between the end of winter and onset of spring.
