The second Wednesday of every month is an opportunity to dig in and give back at our base in the Presidio. Monthly projects can include gear inventory or cleaning, database entry or clean up, online research or whatever we can think up! There will always be good food, good company and good music. You’re invited to join Starlight’s festive fun run to raise funds to brighten the lives of poorly children in London’s hospitals & hospices this Christmas.Building on the success of Starlight’s first ever 12 Days of Christmas Run in 2012, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Canary Wharf Group are delighted to announce that the hugely popular event will be back for a second year!
Taking place at 12:12pm on Thursday 12 December, this unique 1.2 mile fun run will see hundreds of festive runners complete a course around the Canary Wharf business and shopping district. Individual runners and corporate teams are all welcome – the only appeal is that participants dress up as one of the categories from the popular Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas!
Whether you decide to enter as 2 Turtle Doves, 5 Gold Rings, 7 Swans A-Swimming or even a Partridge in a Pear Tree, costumes are likely to be festively fantastic as runners compete for the hotly contested best dressed prize on the day!

And if you don’t fancy running, come along and support the teams – the more the merrier! You can cheer on the runners and then afterwards throw your best Torvill and Dean shapes on the ice, enjoy a mulled wine and mince pie and then finish off your Christmas shopping at the Canary Wharf mall.
So dig out your Christmas fancy dress outfit, put on your running shoes, and come and join in the fun in Canary Wharf – prizes will be awarded for the best costumes on the day!
