DESCRIPTION - Help write or create motivational Inspirational cards for encouragement, gratitude, and self-Care. This project will be used for youth in mental health counseling and substance use therapy and support groups, which address issues such as substance use, depression, anxiety, and more.We’d like to have 25 caring letters/notes for YES recovery and support groups.
Letters/notes can be done using notecards, postcards, stationary or any type of paper available. Cards/letters can be scanned and photocopied or laminated.
LOCATION - This opportunity can be completed in-person as a group, or virtually as individuals.
FACILITATION - This opportunity is non-hosted.
DURATION - Creating, writing, typing, and/or drawing the letters takes about 5-10 minutes for one person.
GEOGRAPHIC REACH - Youth Eastside Services is located in Bellevue, WA, and the youth we serve, that would be receiving these cards, live in East King County.
FUNDING REQUIRED - The cost of purchasing supplies varies depending on what your group or team would like to do. You could utilize items on hand to hand-make the cards, or they could be purchased online or at a store.

DESCRIPTION - Art kits will be used for youth in mental health therapy and support groups, which address issues such as depression and anxiety, substance use, homelessness, family conflicts, and more.Volunteers will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the mental health and recovery of East King County youth by gathering and assembling art kits to be used for therapy and support groups.
Art kits can include the following items:
• 1 pair of scissors (any size or brand)
• Paper (about 25 sheets or one paper tablet with no lines)
• 8, 10, or 12-count pack of washable markers (any size or brand)
• 12-count pack of colored pencils (any size or brand)
• 1 glue stick (any size or brand)
• 8 or 12-count washable watercolor set (any brand)
All art supplies can be assembled into one-gallon size zip lock bag or similar size bag.
We’d like to have 25 art kits gathered and assembled.
PARTICIPANTS - The activity could be completed by a group of any size, although if the group size stays around 20-30 people and you have enough supplies, the project could be completed twice or more
LOCATION - This opportunity is best completed in-person, but could also be done virtually if a designate is able to procure and distribute the needed materials to those participating.
FACILITATION - This opportunity is non-hosted.
DURATION - Assembling art kits takes about 3 to 5 minutes for one person to unpackage the supplies purchased and assemble them into one art kit. With 25-30 people the activity could last up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on if volunteers are assembling at the same time whether in person or virtually.
GEOGRAPHIC REACH - Youth Eastside Services' main location is in Bellevue, WA. The youth we serve, who will be benefiting from these kits, live in East King County.
FUNDING REQUIRED - Youth Eastside Services (YES) does not have supplies for art kits to be assembled by our organization at this time. We would like volunteers to procure the items and assemble the art kits with their teams/departments. The cost for purchasing supplies for art kits varies depending on the brand and where items are purchased such as Amazon, Target, dollar store, etc. Generally, each art kit for one person to assemble can cost up to $10-25.

DESCRIPTION - Microsoft employees will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the mental health and recovery of East King County children, youth, and their families by gathering and assembling snack kits to be used for counseling sessions and support groups. Snack bags will be used for 1:1 counseling sessions and support/recovery groups, which address issues such as substance use, depression, anxiety, and more.All snacks must be individually packaged.
Snack bags can include a variety of the following items or other options, but at least 5 items and MUST be peanut free:
• 1 granola bar
• 1 fruit snack (snack size)
• 1 bag of popcorn (snack size)
• 1 bag of pretzels (snack size)
• 1 fig bar (snack size)
• 1 mini size bottled water
All snack supplies can be assembled into a one-gallon size zip lock bag or similar size bag.
We’d like to have 25 total snack kits assembled for counseling sessions and recovery and therapy groups this fall.

• 2 - Individually packaged non-perishable, peanut-free snacks (examples, popcorn, granola bar, fig bars, fruit bars, crackers, Takis, cheese & crackers, etc.)
• 1 small bouncy ball (brand and size of choice)
• A note with words of encouragement, quote, saying, or an affirmation
• 1 small fidget toy (brand and size of choice) Fidget bike chain flippy chain toy
• 1 package of hard candy (brand and size of choice) suckers (caramel apple), or lifesavers
• 1 reusable water bottle (brand and size of choice)
• 1 individual pack of tea (brand and size of choice) decaffeinated
• 1 individual pack of cocoa (brand and size of choice)

Gaming Cxmmunity Co. is a non-profit focused on bridging the digital divide in the gaming and esports industries for minority students.Our team is in need of non-profit development/logistics mentor that will help guide the executive team in business planning and operations for the next year.
We have partners like Microsoft, Comcast, Boys & Girls Club, Riot Games, Version1/Rokkr, etc. that have deliverables and KPIs that we need to meet, while also making a genuine impact to the communities we're serving.
This mentor would help the team align the KPIs/goals of our partnerships with the overall company goals.
They would also help ensure we are compliant based on federal and local governmental requirements.
This mentor would play a key role in our funding and activation strategic planning for 2023.

Gaming Cxmmunity Co. is in partnership with Comcast to give collegiate students industry curriculum around the gaming and esports industries.We host 4 Saturday activations between October and November from 10am-4pm, teaching local collegiate students industry basics to build the workforce pipeline in these industries.
We'd love volunteers to help us during these Saturday activations.
