Dave’s House Volunteer Coordinator (unpaid):Dave’s House is looking for outgoing Volunteer Coordinator to work with Dave’s House Staff.
You will oversee and facilitate volunteer requests and coordinate volunteer assignments at Dave’s House. This includes scheduling volunteers, planning and assisting with special projects, assisting in overseeing volunteers, along with maintaining a volunteer database.
Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Processing volunteer applications and updating volunteer records
• Keeping a volunteer database (paper and electronic) up-to-date and accurate
• Assisting with the organization of regular volunteer training& orientations
• Supervising volunteers
• Assisting with special projects such as special event planning
• Corresponding with volunteers and prospective volunteers, mainly through email but occasionally via phone or text messaging
• Assist with scheduling volunteers utilizing a variety of methods, including online sign-up sheets
Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications:
• Previous internship or related experience in volunteer coordination is a plus
• Must be computer literate, including Internet research experience
• Professional demeanor and outstanding phone etiquette
• Ability to communicate professionally with volunteers
• Self-motivated, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Enthusiasm for the mission of Dave’s House and helping those with Serious Mental Illness.

CrowdDoing is a global virtual collaboration to research medicinal foods for stress, sleep and anxiety. Our project has the goal of advancing integration across fields of research and to build medicinal foods literacies in the population. In the digital age, words on paper are a novelty that we overlook. Letters are something to cherish: to set on a desk, to stick to a fridge, to bind in a scrapbook.
That’s where we come in.
We’re collecting cards and mailing these to elders in seniors around the globe.
You can write by yourself, with friends, or even at school or the office.
Take a few minutes right now, sit down, and write a letter to an elder (a stranger) telling them about yourself, maybe say a joke or a riddle and let them know that they are loved. Making a difference can be so simple, yet it can be incredibly impactful!
It might feel difficult at first to be writing to someone you don’t know. Our advice: just pretend like it’s a conversation! What kinds of things would you want to talk about to a stranger?

Due to COVID-19 our Easter egg hunt has been canceled; however, we would like to keep the tradition and spirit alive for children and is encouraging kids, and their families to celebrate Easter. Therefore, we would like a volunteer to create a coloring sheet that includes an Easter Egg Hunt for children and their families to decorate at home.We hope to spread positivity and enjoyment with this Easter Egg Hunt and continue the tradition of Easter despite the challenges of the pandemic Coronavirus.
