These events offer individuals experiencing homelessness access to hot meals, showers, medical care, and other essential services. We also bring together service providers to connect attendees with shelter, jobs, medical care, and other resources, fostering long-term community bonds in a safe, inclusive setting.Participating in our Resource Days helps organizations and their teams build deep connections, demonstrate social responsibility, and engage with diverse communities in a meaningful way. Sponsorships are crucial to our mission, enabling us to provide essential support and expand our impact. Through generous contributions, we can more effectively connect neighbors to critical resources and work towards ending homelessness in LA County.

We’re looking for a WordPress Developer to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including theme customization, plugin integration, and overall site optimization
- Translate design concepts into functional WordPress sites, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- Optimize website performance, including load times, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality, plugins, and themes
- Work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure cohesive and effective website functionality
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress sites you have developed or contributed to
- Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery)
- Experience with popular WordPress themes and plugins
- Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with SEO plugins
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to implement design guidelines effectively
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

On Friday, September 27, 2024, WATTS will hold our inaugural golf tournament, The Walt Cunningham Memorial Golf Event, at Rock Harbor Golf Course in Winchester, VA.Check-in is at 8am; golfers tee off at 9am and should be done by 3pm.
We need volunteers to be out on the course monitoring contest holes. These volunteers must be age 18 or older. Knowledge of the game of golf is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities include: sharing about the contest and encouraging golfers to participate; watching golfers tee-off to ensure appropriate yardage; attention to the green for verification if a hole-in-one would occur; possibility of having to sign a witness affidavit or make recorded statements to verify a hole-in-one.
Volunteers should plan to be outside for the duration of the event; dress for the weather (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, raincoat, etc.) Bring water, snacks, and a book if you'd like. We can pair you up on a hole, so get a friend to sign-up to volunteer as well.
WATTS will provide you with a volunteer t-shirt and a boxed lunch!

This is a chance to learn, engage with colleagues, and explore how the book’s themes can inspire action within our communities and beyond.Participants: This project can be done in a self-facilitated group. If you would like your project to be facilitated by a Global Impact team lead, we can offer 5 facilitated sessions in October. (No minimums apply)
Location: Your team is welcome to gather in-person for self-facilitated groups or work virtually for either self-facilitated groups or Global Impact-led events on Teams.
Additional Details: No funding is required. The book is available for purchase online or at your local library. Global Impact does not supply book copies.
