We are quickly approaching our annual gala Fur Ball on Saturday, November 10 at the Francis Marion Hotel.We are looking for volunteers the day of and during the event in the evening.
We have two shifts to choose from (if you need to leave early during the day that is fine but you will need to stay in the evening. We will need help until the end) 9 am - 3 pm and 5 pm to Midnight.

The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way-Florida to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in communities affected by the recent storm. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 24 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s Distribution Center. All boxes must be completed by November 15th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!Available Shifts

If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation. YWCA JUMP Scarborough is seeking volunteers to lead a workshop on networking, resume writing, and job searching within the financial sector.Responsibilities: Volunteers will share their own experience finding work, discuss current opportunities within the financial sector, offer tips and advice on effective networking, and review and provide feedback on the participants’ resumes.
Program Details: JUMP Scarborough is an exciting program for newcomer women and girls over the age of 13, who are permanent residents, convention refugees or live-in caregivers with temporary work permits. The program helps women and girls explore career options, build skills, search for jobs, and integrate into Canadian society.
Benefits of Volunteering: This event will provide volunteers with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of newcomer women who are very interested in pursuing a career within the financial sector.
