Opportunity Details
Coastal Hospice, the nonprofit hospice provider on the Lower Shore, is in need of volunteers for our upcoming outdoor event. On August 10th from 11 am-2 pm we are transforming WinterPlace Park in Salisbury into our Kicks for Kids event. Kicks for Kids is a family fun day event featuring various activity stations, prizes, a watermelon eating contest and a smelly sneaker contest.We are looking for volunteers for the event, especially to help be activity referees at the stations. Activity referees will be in charge of running the stations which will be simple things from limbo, to mini golf, to a distance shoe kick. This role is broken down into two shifts (10:30 – 1 or 12:30 – 3) and require being in the sun. This is our main need, but we also are looking for people to help set up (8- 11) and break down (2:30 – 5). There are a few other spots we need help with during the event, but please reach back to me for more information on these.

Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble the Hope Bags. A prepaid UPS label is also included to take your donation to your local facility. If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation.
