Dystonia is a brain disorder, much like Parkinson’s, that causes muscles in the body to contract and spasm involuntarily. Physical symptoms may impede the ability to walk, sit upright, speak, or even see. There are multiple forms of dystonia and the disorder affects children and adults of all ages and backgrounds. The St. Louis Dystonia Zoo Walk is an exciting event set to take place at the St. Louis Zoo on August 25, 2019. This special event will benefit the work of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF).
