Share HOPE with thousands of mini-Hope Heroes recently impacted by Hurricane Florence! The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way-North Carolina to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in the coastal Carolina communities affected by the recent storm. Teams are needed over the next four weeks to assemble, pack and ship up to 5,000 Happy Hope Bags. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 24 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s distribution center. All boxes must be completed by October 19th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!

Opportunity Details

Beginning October 7, 2018 we are asking area churches, day cares, and businesses to collect items to be donated to those less fortunate. Items that can be donated are new underwear, diapers, socks, and personal care items (example: deodorant, shampoo, and feminine hygiene products, etc.) All donations will be distributed to the agencies that operate shelters, or provide direct assistance to individuals. Diapers and personal care items will also go to area food pantries because food stamps will not pay for diapers or non-food items.

We are having our 4th annual Muscle Walk event to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association!

This awesome community event and 1 mile fun walk will take place at the Southwood Town Center on Saturday, October 13th.

We need and welcome volunteers to help us set up, check in walkers, pass out waters, take pictures, and direct people on the route from approximately 7:30am-10:30am. There will be food, face painting, and fun! Come join us!

On Thursday, October 18, we are hosting our 9th annual Signature Chef’s Auction at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento and we need your help!

Some of Sacramento’s most prominent Chefs will personally prepare their ‘signature’ gourmet dish, paired with select beer and wine from our region’s most notable vintners. Following the tasting, guests will enjoy a seated dessert and a spirited live auction with the chefs serving as the focal point of an exclusive culinary package.
