Greetings from Hearts 4 Homes, Inc.! We are a community-based, non-profit organization with a focus on serving our community’s families and youth. On Saturday December 16, 2023, we will be sponsoring a free Christmas bazaar for local children and families. All items- toys, household goods, health & beauty products, clothing, etc. will be given away for free. In addition, we plan to serve light refreshments and sweet treats. Our goal is to celebrate, encourage reward and uplift school-aged youth and their families. With the rising costs of everyday goods, our hope is to alleviate some of the financial strain that comes with the holidays.Available Shifts

In an effort to grow The Longest Day in the Connecticut Chapter, we are organizing a group of passionate volunteers to form an Engagement Committee.The purpose of this committee is to:
~ Grow the reach of TLD by recruiting at least three (3) team leads
~ Help connect TLD leads from across the chapter to provide support and maximize
potential
~ Provide input on fundraising challenges for participants
Members of the TLD Engagement Committee must:
1. Attend a one-hour virtual meeting bi-monthly
2. Cultivate relationships with Fundraising Leaders and provide coaching and ideas on how to raise funds, recruit team members, and plan their day
3. Participate in event-specific focus groups to help team leads brainstorm and troubleshoot (e.g. golf, pickleball, etc.)
4. Engage TLD participants throughout the year by making retention and welcome phone calls, and/ or writing thank-you notes
5. Promote TLD on social media and in the community in addition to their personal TLD fundraiser
6. Provide honest feedback to TLD Staff to grow TLD

We are looking for a few individuals to volunteer at one of our buildings to provide grooming/hygienic services to our residents. We are looking specifically for hair dressers and people who do manicures and or pedicures, but are open to any other hygienic/personal care type services.We would ideally love for someone to visit the building on a recurring basis, once a month for at least a 6 month time commitment, with opportunity to extend if interested.

As a volunteer with Trinity Care Foundation, you will teach Government school children to use computers, bringing them up to speed on how they can use digital tools to make a difference in their lives.You will teach basic computer skills to the school students and young, equipping them with knowledge which will enhance their lives. For those who may have little knowledge on computers you will help them to advance their skills. The computers as well as internet connections will be provided throughout the learning process.
You will not only impart knowledge but will also teach them practical skills when it comes to the use of computers and other digital tools. Volunteers teach them how to operate a computer, Internet, writing skills, writing emails, spreadsheets, presentations and some other essential knowledge of computer.
