We are looking for volunteers for our 27th Annual Run, Walk & Roll, which will take place on SUNDAY, September 15th, at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. We need around 100 volunteers on Sunday (anytime between 5 am - 12 pm) PLUS around 24 volunteers for Saturday, September 14th (anytime between 9 am - 8 pm). Please sign up for the shifts that you can help with. Volunteers under 18 are welcome but must have a guardian present. Funds raised from this event will support our free educational and community outreach programs. Opportunity Details
Community service to Camp Rhonda and surrounding camps. We will supply food, drinks, and etc; weeklyCamp Rhonda is a homeless encampment that was named after one of the residents that lived there. She passed away in 2021. It used to be at a central location, but after sweeps by the City of Dallas, it became scattered to several locations. On Thursdays we have either morning service between 12:00pm-2pm or afternoon service 4:30-6:30pm. We go to the camps and provide lunch, and clothes, shoes, hygiene, sleeping bags, firewood, tents and etc.
Starting point is 2700 Gould St in South Dallas. Then we will finish in the parking lot across from Dallas Public Library, 1515 Young Street, Dallas, Texas 75201.

This is the Salvation Army location NEXT TO PARKLAND hospital, the Carr P. Collins Center. We are in the Social Services room!Volunteers, please park in the visitor's parking at the back on the building, next to Parkland's ER.

Overall• Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
• Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place.
• Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.
• Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
Specifically
• Make fellow trustees aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting financial data to them.
• Regularly report the financial position at trustee meetings (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, budget etc).

Please join us, Helping Hands, Open Hearts for our Fall visit. We will also celebrate the birthday of one of our unhoused friends who has passed away, Mr. Terry Powell.Terry Powell was a homeless friend in the DFW community. Terry suffered with mental illness and that led to him being homeless during different periods of his life. Terry was a man, a son, a father, a brother, and an uncle. Mr. Powell passed away in May of 2021. Terry's family has reached out to HHOH. They would like to honor his life, by giving back to a community that accepted and served him at some point. Please join us as we serve our community in Terry's honor.
In addition, we will celebrate HHOH's founder, Rosalind Bryant. She celebrates her birthday each year with our homeless friends at Tent City. We will need to following for serve at least 200 people.
