Opportunity Details

Gather a group of friends and assemble hospitality kits to be distributed in your community to serve people living in the streets. Reach out to NWH at info@nwhospitality.org and we will help you get supplies (fundraising may or may not be required) and help coordinate your event.

Kits contain health and hygiene essentials and a locally curated list of resources that will be helpful to the people receiving the kits.

Join Children's Museum of Illinois for our 28th Annual Duck Derby on Saturday, May 4th. The Duck Derby is our biggest fundraiser and community day of the year! 5,000 rubber raffle ducks will race with the winner taking home $3,000! Volunteers will be asked to lead crafts and activities during the event.

Children’s Museum of Illinois is a hands-on, interactive museum for children ages three to twelve. CMofIL partners with local businesses, service organizations, schools, and foundations to provide new exhibits, enhanced educational programming, and increased outreach efforts. These partnerships allow CMofIL to secure its position as an outstanding educational facility for ours and surrounding communities. Additionally, the Museum contributes to the quality of life for Macon County and its residents.

Children’s Museum of Illinois is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.
It receives no funding from federal, state, or local government and is not a part of the Decatur Park District.
