All our students hand in homework every week by using pull requests on GitHub. In order for the students to improve as much as possible we aim to review every pull request thoroughly. This review process imitates the real world and can really help the students to improve their skills significantly. 🤓As a Homework Mentor it is your responsibility to review homework. It is also your responsibility that all the homework submissions get reviewed by someone! It is not you that has to do all the reviewing, but you have the responsibility to make sure all submitted homeworks get a review. Normally the Homework Mentor(s) get help from the Teacher Assistant and sometimes also the Main Teacher. If you need additional hands - some of our alumni can help out too.

Our Mission:Shop-BOB Cares is a NY State 501(c)(3) organization that is passionately committed to helping extraordinary individuals who are making a positive impact in their local communities. Our mission is to support these individuals in their efforts to move FORWARD and achieve their goals. We do this by connecting them with our extensive network of businesses, providing them with the resources they need to focus on their mission.
Our programs are centered around three core areas: Business Development, Youth Activities, and Youth Employment. Through these programs, we help individuals grow their businesses, create opportunities for young people, and foster a sense of community and collaboration.
At Shop-BOB Cares, we believe that everyone has the potential to make a difference in their community. By supporting those who are already doing so, we hope to inspire others to take action and make a positive impact in their own way.
Programming:
The Youth Positivity Outreach Program (Y.P.O.P.) is an initiative designed to empower young people and promote positive attitudes in the community. These programs are aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 24, who are at a critical stage in their development and are often exposed to negative influences that can affect their self esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. By providing them with tools and resources to build resilience, develop positive relationships, and make positive choices, the program aims to help them become more confident, resilient, and empowered individuals.
The program is run by a team of experienced and passionate professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. Our team includes youth workers, counselors, and volunteers who understand the challenges that young people face and are dedicated to helping them overcome these challenges.
We believe that every young person has the potential to succeed and make a positive contribution to their community. By providing them with the right support and guidance, we can help them unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.
