Opportunity Details

Annual fundraising event hosted by Camp Fire. Party-goers will cheer for their favorite horse and participate in activities including Win, Place or Show predictions, a "horse" auction, hat contest, complementary bourbon tasting, and more. Guests may also enter to win a “Trough of Cheer” or "Feed Your Thirst" drawing and bid on a extensive selection of silent auctions items. Delicious Kentucky-themed hors d'oeuvres and traditional Mint Juleps will be served.

The Kentucky Derby Party raises necessary funds that are directly used to support Camp Fire's many programs for children and teens. In addition to raising dollars, the event provides the opportunity for guests and supporters to celebrate the youth in our community and to learn more about the important work of the council.

The goal is to have 300 people attend the event and to raise $78,000.

The 9th annual AvidXchange Music Factory 5K Rock 'N Run/Walk will be held at the AvidXchange Music Factory on August 11, 2018. The purpose of this event is to promote economic development and community awareness, as well as create business alliances in the North End Corridor. The Event is sponsored by Community Dream Builders, Inc. (CBD), a 501c3 organization with a mission to empower communities through access to opportunities to thrive. Proceeds from the race will support Community Builders, a Charlotte-based nonprofit focused on improving the lives of children and families in the Greater Charlotte Metro area.

CBD is devoted to developing a brighter future children at risk of poor educational, economic, social and health outcomes. Community Dream Builders focuses on strengthening families and building stronger, connected communities.

Easterseals Walk With Me is about putting hope within reach for people with various disabilities/barriers in life. The involvement of corporate sponsors, donors, event participants, and volunteers is an investment that provides opportunity for people with disabilities/barriers, and veterans/servicemembers and their families to live with equality, dignity, and independence.

Walk With Me began in 2002 with several local Easterseals affiliates including Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut. Since then, Walk With Me Mystic not only raises funds to provide programs and services to the communities we serve but also raises awareness that every step counts.

Walk With Me Mystic brings together over 600 local participants to walk in support of individuals with disabilities/barriers, along with veterans/servicemembers and their families. The walk is led by local Easterseals Honorary Ambassadors. Whether you choose to walk or volunteer to help, this event promises to be a fun-filled day for the whole family complete with food, music, and entertainment!

Opportunity Details

The Alexandria Community Center is a small not-for-profit agency located in northern Madison County. We are planning the second annual Sweet Biddings Dessert Auction to be held on Thursday, April 26 at Alexandria’s First Baptist Church. A delicious dinner and silent auction are also planned. Last year we had over 200 people in attendance and rose over $10,000!

For years the ACC has worked to provide services that foster a sense of neighborhood and community that make Alexandria a great place to call home. The Center is a great resource for the citizens of Alexandria and surrounding areas and is even more vital to our community today than when it began in the 1940’s.

In 2017, over 500 children participated in a variety of enrichment classes and sports leagues like flag and tackle football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Many families with infants and toddlers received items from our baby pantry and numerous families were helped with referrals for social services.

These activities and services are funded by program fees, events, and donations. That is why the support of generous donors like you is the key to our success.
