Treats & Sweets Day was created by Pet Partners to recognize our thousands of volunteer therapy animal teams that brighten the lives of people all over the country. This year, we whipped up some wonderful virtual and in-person options so everyone has fun while continuing to support the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program. There are tons of great ideas, tools, and resources available when you set up your personal fundraising page at treatsandsweetsday.org. Bakers even have text-to-donate options, so asking for donations is even easier than before! When you register to bake with us, you’ll receive a free start-up kit in the mail with stickers to decorate your baked goods, guidelines for socially distanced events, a poster to spread the word, and table signs. We are always looking for new volunteers to lend a hand at either of our Wellness Centres or Op Shops. Please call one of the numbers listed in 'Location' to organise ongoing volunteer work.

Volunteer participation is integral for the survival of Cancer Wellness Support. At present, we have over 70 volunteers. Each year, approximately 29,000 volunteer hours are contributed by way of working in our op-shops, administration, fund-raising, and community events.

What do Cancer Wellness Support volunteers do?
- Sort, shelve & rotate op shop stock
- Pricing & sales in the op shops
- Furniture pick up & delivery
- Administration in our Wellness Centres or Op Shops
- Client transport
- Fundraising, community service & cancer awareness events
- More volunteers are always needed

Goodwin Connections is building a Development and Outreach Committee in 2021. This committee’s primary function will be to support the organization’s fundraising efforts and assist in sharing our mission and success stories with potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors, as well as building relationships with other nonprofit organizations. Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. We will send all materials needed to package your Happy Hope Bag including round trip postage, directions and a video tutorial. Please note: All Happy Hope Bags require either a $35 donation per kit or volunteer grant to cover the cost of supplies and shipping. Our Board of Directors possess an interest in animal health & welfare and provide the strategic direction, resources, and oversight for the organization to be successful in achieving its vision and mission.

We are currently seeking individuals who wish to use their professional expertise to make a difference in our communities statewide.

Ideal Candidates Have:

Senior management and governance experience.
Strategy and policy development experience.
Previous nonprofit board or committee experience.
Strong ties to the Canyon County and Ada County communities.
Willing to be an ambassador or advocate of the organization to assist in raising profile and funds.
A strategic and open mindset coupled with a sense of urgency to get things done.
Team player with ability to participate and contribute in a variety of different initiatives.
