Opportunity Details

This year, the Center is celebrating 15 years of it's annual Trivia night and Silent Auction Fundraiser. The goal of this event is to raise unrestricted income for the Center to continue to provide services to children and families struggling with abuse allegations. Our development department is a department of one person and we need additional support in helping to prepare for this event that over 500 people attend.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road half marathon, taking place on Sunday 29 March 2020. The 13.1-mile route showcases the very best of central London, with fantastic views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye.

Opportunity Details

Somebody Loves Me, Inc., a 501 (c)3 organization committed to helping those less fortunate in Northeast Tennessee. Our two largest programs focus on children living in poverty in our region. Our Clothing Our Children Program provides underprivileged school-age children with shoes, clothing and personal care items year-round and Our One Christmas Wish Angel Tree Program provides shoes, clothing and gifts for eligible children in need at Christmas. When children’s essential needs are not met, this can have a direct negative impact on their school success and our goal is to do our part in ensuring success for as many children in our region as possible.

All of our members are unpaid volunteers and we rely on fundraisers and community donations to support our programs. Our Annual Auction Fundraiser is our largest fundraising endeavor. All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase items for children in need through our two programs. This year’s Auction is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Opportunity Details

On February 22nd we will host Project Prom, which is an event where senior girls come in and try on prom and graduation dresses to wear for the respective upcoming events. Each girl is allowed to take home one dress of each, free of charge. The girls will come in between 11 AM - 2 PM to try on the dresses, take pictures, and socialize with their friends. We need personal shoppers to help the girls in choosing dresses, as well as will need help setting up and taking down the event.
