Opportunity Details

Our volunteer group, "Friends of the New Albany Symphony," plan and implement this yearly fundraiser to benefit our organization. Fifty baskets are collected and displayed during our Holiday Spectacular performance - baskets are raffled off after the concert. The group meets approximately 5 times October - December. Volunteer jobs include:
Reaching out to area businesses to collect items for the baskets and gift cards for the grand prize
Wrapping up the baskets at our "gift wrap party"
Transferring baskets from the wrap party to the McCoy Center Friday December 18
Selling raffle tickets for the baskets day of event
Marketing the event

Opportunity Details

We are looking for groups of responsible volunteers to help at our Annual Halloween themed 5k Walk/Run.

Some of the areas that we need help in include:
• Registration
• Gift Bag Distribution
• Finishers Medal Distribution
• Rallying at Finish Line
• Raffle Booth
• Water Station

About the LA Cancer Challenge:

The annual LA Cancer Challenge is a Halloween-themed family-friendly charity event that benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research. To date, the LACC raised nearly $8.3 million dollars for pancreatic cancer research. The Hirshberg Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and improving early detection methods. By volunteering your time, you are making a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
