The QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge is one of the top startup accelerators of its kind in the world. We work with entrepreneurs from around the world who have developed some of the most promising solutions to create more sustainable and resilient communities. This volunteer opportunity seeks evaluators for a pivotal moment in the AcceliCITY program-- selecting the startups that will be invited to join this year's cohort.
Volunteers will receive materials, including instructions and applications for review, by May 10th. Each volunteer will then have until May 23rd to review their assigned applications and complete the evaluation form for each applicant. This can be done independently on the volunteer's schedule, but all evaluations must be completed and submitted by the May 23rd deadline.
Though the exact number of assigned applications may vary based on the number of applicants and evaluators, we aim to assign 6-8 applications per evaluator. Each evaluator can approach their review in their own way, we hear that it generally takes 20-30 minutes to review and evaluate a single application. Some evaluators will block one time to review all and submit their evaluations within hours or days of receiving the materials, others will spread the work out over nearly two weeks. The approach you take, is completely up to you.

Stable Moments® is a nationally accredited program specifically designed for children with complex developmental trauma who are in foster care or have been adopted, ages 5-18. Stable Moments®’ mission is to improve the life course of foster and adopted children through equine-assisted learning and community mentorship. Through this one-on-one mentorship program, we match community mentors, with a foster or adopted child anda horse for an hour per week for 10 months to develop life skills for healthy transitions into adulthood.
Weekly mentor sessions are designed to help create a strong foundation and equip the child to make healthy choices and value themselves. An individualized plan is designed to highlight the child’s strengths & challenges, and activities are chosen accordingly. Structured Equine Assisted Learning activities help develop life skills such as emotional awareness, self-regulation, anger management, accountability, healthy relationships, and appropriate boundaries, just to name a few.
INDIVIDUALIZED PLAN OF CARE
Every child has an Individual Plan of Care that is developed specifically to address their trauma needs. During each 10-month session, three life skills are addressed, and data is gathered in pre, midway, and post-assessments, as well as daily activity logs.

Full-Circle Learning streamlines its budget to maximize opportunities for global youth to engage as society's humanitarians and change agents. The bulk of our resources fund capacity building programs in the field, while the US Board of Directors offers pro bono assistance for these programs. We now seek to cultivate a team of fundraising/development specialists who bring not only volunteer skills but also contacts among corporate and foundation donors. This is remote work that can adapt to the schedule of retirees or emerging specialists.
