In rural India and more particularly in the backward state of Rajasthan, rural children rare deprived of the science primarily because absence of science teachers in rural areas. Vatsalya's young leadership Kartikey Gupta with its keen and passionate interest in science and Solar energy is inculcating science knowledge among poor and marginalised rural children not only from its school but also from the neighbouring rural schools in the community. our young science promoter has built a unique science centre with the direct involvement and support from Professors Frances Arnold (Chemistry noble laurate 2018), Pamela Bjorgman of Caltech University, Prof Jainendra K Jain, Penn State University, Wolfgang Shaefller and Heiki, German Solar Scientists.

Fatima Childrens Home is NOT an orphanage. It is a loving home for more than 42 children aging from 1 day to 18 years. For whatever reason the children find themselves without a home or food or access to education, they are welcomed into this family, and have a space of their own and are respected and cared for. The children are placed at Fatima by the court system, and there is no monetary support, or monetary gain for Fatima. The loving Guatemalans that support this home, do it out of pure love and commitment to those in need. It is incredible to be amongst them and see the level of care they provide. Psychological counseling for children, parenting classes for parents or relatives if they are in the picture, schooling, and chores for the kids in this home. Not to mention, art, dancing, singing, and homework. The program is focused on returning to children to family if that is an option, but working with the entire family system to ensure safe and successful, self sufficient futures, with education access as a key. We are so proud of the incredible work they do, and are looking to support them as they expand their program to the indigenous region in Solola. Bringing jobs, and family support to the families in this area. Guatemalan Run, Guatemalan community goals at the core. Creating jobs, and helping families stay together and stay in the country the love. Providing hope and futures. Come be a part of it... visitors are welcome with a donation to Fatima Childrens Home. Groups can play with the children, offer to do activities at the home. Housing and travel would be the responsibility of the volunteer, but we can organize trips for groups and individuals through our trusted travel liasons. We would love to have you come and experience the love, care and hope in this really magical place. It really is amazing. The caretakers, managers, and of course the resilient children are amazing!!

Fillmore Mini Park is getting ready for a face lift! This small park is a treasure to the community but is due for some improvements to make it a safe place for seniors, children and the members of this vibrant community to enjoy. In October 2015, KUZA will throw a party for 350 people in the Portland area, and we need help planning & executing this night! Our goal is to raise $100,000 though this event, and to share KUZA's work with the greater Portland area.

We're currently building our "Get It Done" team. Meetings will be the 2nd Monday of the month 7-9pm at our Portland office, January-May 2015.

Work with a dynamic team of committed volunteers to throw a massive party and raise money and awareness for this important cause!

- the raising of funds and the administration of the Group's finances
- the insurance of persons, property and equipment
- assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support
- operates to the requirements of the Charity Commission of England and Wales

Opportunity Details

The 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month we hold adoption events and are always looking for people to help out. Sometimes the volunteers will plan bake sales and other events as well. If you are wanting to help even more, pens and tarps have to also be sterilized before every event. In general, it is a nice way to spend a few hours with cute animals and talking to new people. Set up and break down of events is also needed.
