We need a friendly face to help greet and check-in for our patient day event on Saturday, March 29th at Stanford University - Cardinal Hall. Job duties entail staying at registration desk to greet attendees, giving out name tags and swag bags, and directing attendees to the event room. Dress is business casual, and the hours are from 10:00am to 5pm ET. Lunch will be provided.The Sumaira Foundation hosts domestic and international regional patient day events to allow for local clinicians, patients, and caregivers to gather in-person and learn about their rare diseases, connect with local resources, and oftentimes meet another rare disease patient in-person for the first time.
This event is hosted by The Sumaira Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to generating global awareness of NMOSD (neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder) and MOGAD (myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease), building communities of support for patients and their caregivers, supporting research and patient advocacy.

This important community-wide effort helps gather data to improve local services and support programs for people experiencing homelessness. While the majority of volunteers will be conducting surveys with people experiencing homelessness, volunteers will also be needed for various administrative and coordination tasks, event day set-up and take-down, magnet events in various locations on other dates, and to lead teams of volunteer surveyors.Greater Victoria participated in nationwide PiT Counts in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2023. Point-in-Time counts add essential information to our understanding of how people experience homelessness in our region.
Volunteers sign up for one 3-hour shift, attend a two-hour training session in advance of the event, and must be 19 years of age or older to participate.

The purpose of Charity event for families with children is to raise money to support families with children with disabilities. The event is organized by EDUCO, we support families with children with special needs.Our mission is to provide professional assistance and support for families with children with disabilities from birth to 7 years of age. We help children and their families in their natural environment, in order to strengthen their autonomy and independence from social assistance. We operate within the county of Zlin.
Volunteers help us to organize the event, they engage into activities with children such as facepainting, textile painting, decorating gingerbread.
