Role Overview

Pim Pam Pum is seeking a motivated Volunteer Project Manager to lead and coordinate impactful social action projects. As a key member of our team, you will oversee project planning, execution, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with our mission to create positive community outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to apply project management skills in a meaningful nonprofit setting, collaborate with passionate students and mentors, and contribute to initiatives that promote cultural diversity and social good.

Key Responsibilities


Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements, to ensure successful execution of social action initiatives.

Team Coordination: Collaborate with student volunteers, mentors, and external partners to assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication.

Risk Management: Identify potential challenges and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring projects stay on track.

Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and prepare impact reports to showcase outcomes.

Mentorship Support: Work closely with expert mentors to guide student volunteers, fostering skill development and professional growth.

Qualifications

Experience: Prior experience in project management (professional, academic, or volunteer) is preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Passion: Enthusiasm for social impact, cultural diversity, and supporting student-led initiatives.

Language: Proficiency in English; French and/or Spanish is an advantage but not mandatory.

FlightFest is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sharing our love of aviation with our community, while also highlighting one of our community’s greatest assets: The Washington County Airport.

While we receive the clothing and toiletries at no cost, we need YOUR help to unpack and sort clothing. STEM Library Lab’s Teacher Free-Store has received a large influx of donated classroom supplies while the store has been closed for summer break. We are now seeking volunteers to help sort, organize, and store these materials in preparation for our reopening at the end of July. This work ensures that thousands of local educators can quickly and easily access the supplies they need—free of charge—at the start of the school year. Volunteer support is essential to creating a welcoming, efficient, and well-stocked environment that directly reduces teachers’ out-of-pocket costs and supports hands-on learning in classrooms across the region.

Our Annual Country BBQ is a beloved tradition that honours the incredible resilience of the children and families supported by Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. This year marks our 35th Anniversary, and we are inviting every family we’ve helped since 1990—making this year’s event an unforgettable reunion of hope, courage, and community.

Held in the countryside, the day is completely free for our families and filled with all sorts of activities —fishing, food, games, crafts and live entertainment. We anticipate welcoming up to 1,000 guests for a day of laughter, love and fun .

Importantly, this is an inclusive and accessible event, thoughtfully designed so that every child and family can fully participate, regardless of medical or mobility challenges.
To make this magical day possible, we rely on the support of generous volunteers. We’re reaching out to invite your team to get involved:

• Friday, August 22nd (9am – 3 pm) – Event setup – lunch will be provided
• Saturday, August 23rd (4 hour shifts between 9:00-1:00 and 1:00-5:00) – Event day (we need approx. 200 volunteers!)

This is a fantastic team-building opportunity and a meaningful way to give back. Your team’s time and energy can help create an inclusive and joy-filled day for children who face extraordinary medical challenges.
