Become a mentor and help build a foundation for youth to succeed! Erie Neighborhood House's TEAM program is recruiting new mentors to work with 6th-12th grade youth. TEAM is an academic extracurricular enrichment program where mentors meet one-on-one with the same student each week, supporting them with the tools and resources they need to reach their potential. It is a 1 day/week, commitment for the academic year at our West Town, Chicago location. 6th-9th grade mentors meet Mondays, 6-7:30pm and 10th-12th grade mentors meet Wednesdays, 6-8pm. About this JobThe RPM Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to support pathways to careers in vehicle restoration and preservation, is seeking an Advancement Intern to assist the Executive Director with Outreach, Development, Marketing, Grants, and organizational efforts.
The RPM Foundation is dedicated to preserving the skills necessary for vehicle restoration and preservation. We do this through providing grant funding (scholarships, internship stipends, project funding, etc), programs (apprenticeships, shop tours, vintage race days), and services (resume assistance, interview skills, job placement). We have close relationships with schools that have automotive and restoration programs, restoration shops, and students interested in pursuing a hands-on career in vehicle restoration.
The Advancement Volunteer will report to the Executive Director and will be responsible for managing many of our forward-facing efforts, including working with schools on recruitment of students for programs, working with restoration shops on outreach efforts for locating apprentices, developing our marketing materials and coordinating with our social media management company, and working with the Executive Director on developing new organizational processes and procedures.
Primary Objectives:
Outreach: Supporting the development and implementation of external and internal initiatives that actively engage RPM’s varied constituents;
Development: Supporting fundraising and engagement efforts by contributing to strategic planning efforts and assisting in the implementation of RPM engagement programs, initiatives, and annual appeals
Marketing: Supporting RPM’s market-facing strategic priorities and tactical initiatives
Grants: Supporting RPM’s Grant and Mentorship programs and initiatives
Organizational: Providing operational support to the RPM Foundation and developing organizational processes and procedures
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about vehicle culture and education, and will appreciate the altruistic nature of working in the nonprofit world. Problem solving skills, ability to work independently, organizational and project management skills, and solid communication will all be assets in this position.
Our office is in the Chicago Loop, and the position will be a combination of in-office and remote work.

We will be stuffing backpacks with school supplies to be given away to students of the Oakland Unified School District. There will be seven assembly stations set up to open boxes, unzip the backpacks, pass them along, count, close the backpack, box, and prepare for loading. To help deliver the range of group activities (exercise classes, arts and crafts, quizzes, etc) that we provide at Winchester Go LD every week. We are looking for volunteers who could commit to one session (1-2hr) per week or every fortnight. We have a strong focus on promoting wellbeing. Our groups are fun, sociable and engaging.We are looking for friendly, fun and interesting volunteers.
Our regular groups are normally based in the Winchester Discovery Centre, however, during lockdown we have been running regular social groups online (Zoom).
Social engagement is hugely important in promoting positive wellbeing for adults with learning disabilities. Our members benefit from the strong sense of community and from a relaxed environment that they can share ideas and any worries.
We are looking for volunteers who can either commit to an hour or two a week for face to face activities, or those that would be happy to volunteer an hour a month/fortnight and to be be put rota. We have daytime, evening and Saturday sessions.

Our Walk and Talk service offers an hour's walk and a chat to adults with learning disabilities. The benefits are numerous: helping to engage our members with their local community, providing valuable physical exercise, being outside, providing time away from family carers and giving an opportunity to further their communication skills and social engagement.Some members of Winchester Go LD prefer to chat over a cup of coffee, others prefer to spend their hour doing more of a powerwalk!
We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver this vital service. Whether you can give 1 hour a fortnight or 3 hours a week - we'd love to hear from you.
All volunteers for our Walk and Talk service will need to be DBS checked. Training is provided.

We invite your support to help raise awareness and funds for Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Your support will help us make a significant difference in the lives of these girls through empowering programs like the arts, financial literacy, healthy living, outdoor education, and STEM. Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
Volunteers will assist staff with check-in/registration, the silent auction, and the prize wall. Appetizers and desserts are included.
