CrowdDoing Scaling Operations Director Volunteers are helping CrowdDoing to get to scale so that CrowdDoing can help more social enterprises. As of November 2017, CrowdDoing has scoped the needs of 24 external social enterprises, deployed volunteers for a subset, and deployed volunteers towards internal projects. More than 1800 volunteers have applied to CrowdDoing. CrowdDoing needs to scale further to get to sustainability and to achieve the impact potential of global, virtual, skilled volunteering, service learning and micro-leadership. Opportunity Details
Children in the East Orange County area can enjoy a special visit with Santa in early December. Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County will host its 22nd annual holiday event “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9:00-12:00pm at Legacy Middle School (11398 Lake Underhill Road, Orlando, Florida).In addition to Santa, the event will feature a pancake breakfast. Students from local schools will provide entertainment and there will be fun activities for children. For an additional charge, children can have their photo taken with Santa.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast can be purchased at the event. Volunteers are needed to serve breakfast, provide entertainment, host games, set up, and clean up. All funds raised from this event are returned to the community through the club’s service leadership programs.
The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County currently sponsors 13 service leadership clubs (K-Kids in elementary schools, Builders Club in middle schools, Key Club in high schools, and Circle K Club at UCF) which teach students about leadership and serving others in their community.
