Share HOPE with thousands of mini-Hope Heroes recently impacted by Hurricane Florence! The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way of the Carolinas to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in the coastal Carolina communities affected by the recent storm. Teams are needed over the next four weeks to assemble, pack and ship up to 5,000 Happy Hope Bags. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 25 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s distribution center. All boxes must be completed by October 19th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!

Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation will have a booth at this years Fall, Vintage Market Days here in St. Louis. This is a HUGE opportunity for us. We will be the one and only charity participating in this event. Not only will proceeds from the event will come back to us, but we will have the opportunity to sell our Mighty Hearts and merchandise to an entirely new crowd and demographic. The one request that came from the organizers of VMD is that we help gather volunteers to help collect tickets and assist in staffing the check in booth at the event - which is what we now need help with!

Opportunity Details

Join Natural Restorations, REI, and Arizona Game & Fish Department for our Inaugural Base & Meridian Wildlife Area Cleanup along the Gila River on Saturday, December 1st from 9 AM to 1 PM. We are also teaming up the City of Avondale and Flood Control for this event and future events in the area as we work towards a long-term solution to revitalize this beautiful area and keep it free from trash so it can become a premier outdoor recreation destination in the West Valley. This is a great opportunity to come out and explore this beautiful area and help us remove trash left behind. You will also learn about some of the exciting projects coming to this area to make it more user-friendly.

Opportunity Details

Start a new tradition and think differently about the Friday after Thanksgiving. Last year volunteers hiked along the river banks picking up 4,795 pounds of trash and recyclables from Granite Reef, Phon D Sutton, Coon Bluff, and Water Users Recreation Area along the Lower Salt River. Join us for a morning of stewardship and fun as we explore the Lower Salt River and pick up any scattered trash we see along the way.

Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble the Hope Bags. A prepaid UPS label is also included to take your donation to your local facility. If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for a child in your local hospital.

The students work hard all year long to becoming their best versions of themselves not only as dancers but as individuals. Every year St. John's hosts a fall dinner with a silent auction in order to raise funds to offset tuition costs so that every child in the community can attend St. John’s School. Our school's smaller class sizes enable teachers to dedicate more time and attention on every student, thus enhancing each child's academic success. Throughout the year, parents volunteer their time and talents as teachers, administrative assistants and maintenance personnel. Prior to the fall dinner, parents seek support from local businesses they frequent. We are able to raise approximately $5,000 through the fall dinner (silent auction) and generous donations from community members. However, with the support of our online benefactors we know we could reach more children in need.

Recognized as Denver’s official run for Veterans, this is a memorial 5K & 10K fun run that is open to runners, joggers, walkers, kids of all ages, and dogs are always welcome. And this year, the run is on November 11th, Veterans Day.

ALL proceeds of your registration (and donations!) goes directly to helping Colorado Veterans. The Denver Veterans Day Run is hosted by Colorado Veterans Project, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts special events in order to raise awareness and funds for local Veteran organizations. Our mission is to enhance pride and patriotism in all Coloradans by building a stronger, more supportive community around our Veterans.
