The heart of the Dare to Dream program is to walk alongside youth as they navigate through life's challenges. The youth in our Dare to Dream program need the wisdom, advice, encouragement, and community that mentors can provide. Mentors meet practical and emotional needs as well as provide guidance through developmental milestones. The goal is for youth to be engaged and to feel supported and equipped to navigate life. A mentor commits to meeting with the youth every other week to set goals and help them achieve their dreams. These relationships will hopefully last a lifetime, but the program is a year commitment. Mentors matched with a high school student are strongly encouraged to stay with the youth until high school graduation.

We tell mentors that the simple act of telling their youth “I believe in you,” “You are special,” and “You are going to do great things” can change their path completely.

This is a great opportunity to fulfill community service hours while having fun and making a difference in the lives of children with cancer!
**There will be many young children in attendance who are vulnerable to Covid, therefore there is a checkbox about vaccination below. This will help us determine the safest roles for those who are and who are not vaccinated. Thank you.**

We are very excited for another Mess Fest and as always, we thank you for your support.
Sincerely,

The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation

We’re raising the resiliency of our fellow New Yorkers. In this past year we’ve stood for those hardest hit by the pandemic, and as New York comes back to life, we are continuing our efforts, so that no New Yorker is left behind.
Wherever you are in the world, there is one universal truth that we all share: COVID-19 hit all of us really hard in one way or another. This past year has tested us all beyond measure. NYC was no exception, and we saw our beloved city torn apart in so many different ways. Businesses folded, jobs were lost, and food insecurity hit an all time high in the city that we love so dearly.
But in the true spirit of New York we found ways—individually and collectively—to rise to the challenge and become more resilient. The fighting spirit of New York rose up to stand strong against the adversity that we faced, and we let the pandemic make us stronger. Our pandemic non-profit is a celebration of all that is strong in New York, and a promise to fight for those who continue to face challenges.
As we continue to grow, we are providing 8,000 meals per month, and 1,000 sanitary packs to those who are still feeling the after-effects of the pandemic. Let’s put our efforts together to make sure all the people of NYC have the basics like quality food, and personal care items. Let’s help our fellow New Yorkers stand up, and collectively rebuild the city that we love so much.
There is a lot of love in our kitchen, and we have created an environment of support not only for those who we provide food to, but also to those who volunteer for us. All our volunteer opportunities are highly accessible for both beginner and advanced volunteers. We have openings for cooks, food prep, dishing food into containers, dishwashers, cleaners, as well as admin opportunities.
