The Albuquerque, NM Walk will be an incredible morning of raising awareness and funds for eating disorder programs, education outreach, and the support of individuals and families. We want to build community, inspire activism, and work with a diverse group of individuals that support NEDA’s goals and interests.

It is critical to connect with as many people as possible because 30 million people suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder at some time in their life. This would be a fantastic opportunity to stand with those affected by eating disorders and foster necessary dialogue about eating disorders.

Participate in a Walk/ Ride/ Tournament/ Fundraiser

Join us for the 2019 Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll at Guaranteed Rate Field! Held on a Saturday morning, the Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll offers all athletes at any skill level the opportunity to compete for those who can’t.

Perfect for both competitive runners and families, the event features two exciting options for participants, a timed 5k Run or a 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll. Both races start at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finish with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark. Participants can stay for an after-party at the ChiSox Bar & Grill to celebrate finishing the race and enjoy food and drink specials.

We are celebrating 11 years of empowering, uplifting, and inspiring survivors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We are excited to announce our "Cupcake Wars Bake-off!" Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the renowned ITK Culinary, prior home of Bravo’s Top Chef Competition. The event will be live streamed on social media and televised. If you feel you have what it takes to be win the battle, apply here for a chance to be one of the four contestants who will compete in this year's bake-off. The Grand prize winner will receive a trophy, $1,000 in cash, and recognition on social media and CWA’s website. Get your oven mitts ready and join us this July!

In the spirit of CWA, we present this as a survivor-themed challenge. We invite participants to make their cupcakes as *inspirational* as possible, and to think about how their design may uplift and inspire survivors of domestic violence. One hundred (100%) of the funds raised will support CWA’s collaborative housing and job space project for homeless and trafficked women and their families.
Join us at this joyful occasion as we celebrate, inspire, and rally support for CWA programs! The mission of the Courageous Women Association is to transform lives by providing a complete system of services designed to transition women and children out of poverty to full autonomy, through career development & placement, permanent housing, economic resources, and unlimited access to services that aid in complete healing and recovery. Join us in celebrating 11 years of transformation and impact!

Opportunity Details

Join us to help process all of the amazing fabric donations! We measure, roll and price each piece of fabric. It could also be other fabric related projects. For example, folding quilting fabric, cutting felt or making scrap packs. No experience (including sewing) required! If you do happen to fancy fabric, this is a great opportunity to get first picks of the new goods!
