Team Giving is a local organization that connects nonprofits with volunteers to help
complete needed projects. By connecting volunteers, we empower organizations to
achieve their mission and better serve those in need. This in turn makes our communities
stronger, healthier and more resilient. Since opening, Team Giving has coordinated over 15,000 hours of volunteer service for more than 95 nonprofit organizations in the Greater Sacramento Region.

Our 3rd Annual Volunteer Celebration, " The Magic of Volunteers” is on April 25, 2019, at
the Greek Orthodox Ballroom in Sacramento. Our event is hosted by a professional
magician, includes a raffle and auction, and an awards ceremony for volunteers. It is an important evening of gathering our nonprofit, business, and service partners to celebrate all of the wonderful work done by the generous hearts of volunteers.

Opportunity Details

Help our organization in running 1 of 8 Paralympic Grand Prix's in the World for 2019. The Event consists of multiple sports Swimming, Track & Field, Air Rifle, and Archery. The Event runs from May 22-26th, 2019 and brings in over 400 Athletes with Physical Disabilities. Our event allows for kids, adults, Veterans, as well as Paralympic team members to compete in the different events.

Share HOPE with thousands of mini-Hope Heroes recently impacted by Hurricane Michael! The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way-North Tallahassee to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in the coastal Florida communities affected by the recent storm. Teams are needed over the next four weeks to assemble, pack and ship up to 5,000 Happy Hope Bags. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 24 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s distribution center. All boxes must be completed by October 19th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!

Your community is collecting 25,000 pairs of shoes to help create sustainable jobs in developing nations! We need your gently worn shoes to get to our goal!

By hosting a shoe drive you can create community engagement, provide new opportunities for those in need AND give back to the environment. Every 20 pairs of shoes counts as 1 hour of service plus any hours spent marketing the drive and collecting/pairing shoes count as service hours as well.

Soles4Souls disrupts the cycle of poverty by creating sustainable jobs and providing relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, the organization repurposes product to supply its micro-enterprise, disaster relief and direct assistance programs. Since 2006, we have distributed more than 35 million pairs of shoes in 127 countries and generated over $250 million in economic impact. A non-profit social enterprise, Soles4Souls earns more than 70% of its income and commits 100% of donations to programs. All shoes collected at the local level will go directly toward creating sustainable jobs in developing nations!

Hosting a shoe drive can be done in 4 simple steps:

1. Choose a theme for your drive (i.e. Go Green, Thanks4Giving, Women4Women or generic “Create Your Own). Marketing materials look different depending on what you choose.
2. Register to host a shoe drive for a specific period of time and with a goal in mind: https://soles4souls.org/shoe-drive/
3. You would blast an email out to your employees, clients, customers, etc as you prefer letting them know about the drive. Flyers and links to resources will be provided for this!
4. Once the drive concludes, volunteers will count the shoes, pair them together, and bring to the local drop off location. A Soles4Souls representative will help coordinate this once a drive is registered.
