With the health and well-being of our patients, family members, and friends as our top priority, AAMDSIF has decided to hold our all of our Marches for Marrow in 2021 as VIRTUAL EVENTS!COVID-19 has altered so much of our lives, and we hope you will join us in this virtual community to walk or run to spread awareness for bone marrow failure diseases!
The Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation provides education, support, and hope for patients living with aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and related bone marrow failure diseases.
When: The week of March 1 - 7, 2021!
Where: Virtual Walk: Take a stroll through your neighborhood, on your treadmill, or sleep in!
Virtual 5K Run: We challenge everyone who signed up to run to upload Strava or use whichever app you currently track your distance and time.
What: We are kicking off all of the 2021 March for Marrow Virtual Events with this celebration in the week we celebrate patients and families fighting bone marrow failure diseases worldwide. We are raising awareness and funds through this event to search for a cure for bone marrow failure disease and to support the patients who are living with it!

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Habitat for Humanity ReStores are owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build strength, stability and self-reliance locally and around the world. We are currently down in part time staff and we have a need to paint some interior walls. This will not only serve to improve the image of the building, but provide a basic level of protection for the brick underneath. We would also like this to lead to other construction related projects in the future, and we hope this can serve as an introduction to our ReStore and Dubois Habitat as a whole.Available Shifts

Each year the MA chapter of National Ovarian Cancer Coalition coordinates the Together in Teal Walk. This event brings the ovarian cancer community together, promotes awareness about the disease, and raises money for a cure. Our community is comprised of ovarian cancer survivors, caregivers, loved ones, and health care professionals. Each member is dedicated to increasing survival rates and improving the quality of life for women and families affected by ovarian cancer.On September 25, 2021, we will unite virtually from coast to coast for our Together in Teal: Everywhere As One event. Participants will be encouraged to get moving however and wherever they feel comfortable, and tune in to a national broadcast celebration that evening. We are looking for companies who would like to to join us in our fight against ovarian cancer. You can make an impact by volunteering and having your company match your hours, forming a team, fundraising and asking your employer to match you donations and those of your co-workers as well.
