Opportunity Details

Our Education Foundation provides a fun fundraiser while providing a family activity during the holiday season. We have a family breakfast at President's elementary school in Arlington on Saturday, Dec 7th 2019. We have two timeslots for families to choose from; either 8:30 am and 10:30 am. We have a hot cocoa bar, arts and crafts, and pictures with Santa included in the ticket price. We have special children’s characters coming also to take pictures with kids and families. This exciting and magical fundraiser helps our foundation be able to bring in money to give grants to classrooms. These classroom mini-grants assist with educational opportunities in our local community. We would love volunteers to help with serving food, taking pictures, helping with kids arts and crafts, or checking in the registered guests.

Each year the Sparkle Foundation seeks nominations of women and their families that could use a little extra sparkle this holiday season. We look for single mothers and other women who, despite their circumstances, keep hustling, keep smiling, and, many times think only of everyone else. The Sparkle Foundation would love the opportunity to bear the the wonderful burden of the holidays for them this year. Last year fifty families received holiday gifts and goods to make their lives sparkle.

This year we are making the holidays extra special for 60+ families (217 individuals) in 3 major metropolitan areas (the greater SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Ventura county, and Sacramento). The wish lists for these families went live November 7th. All gifts need to be delivered to one of three Sparkle locations (dependent on family location) by December 1st. We will sort on December 13th and wrap/deliver on December 14th..
