Navigating the traffic, streets, and highways of an unknown city can be daunting. Imagine spending most of your time driving on country roads and the streets of small towns. In contrast, St. Louis roads-like all major cities-can be confusing, stressful, and jam-packed with traffic. Patients visiting St. Louis for medical treatment may be overwhelmed simply by navigating to their appointments.That's why HavenHouse provides roundtrip shuttle service for patients and their families to and from local medical facilities seven days a week and up to three routes a day.
Driving the HavenHouse Shuttle means you have the opportunity to change lives. Your help will alleviate the stress and worry our guests may encounter on their medical journey. You can be their navigator in an unfamiliar place. If you're looking for an interactive experience where you get to meet and chat with wonderful people, this is the best opportunity for HavenHouse volunteers!
Shuttle Volunteers drive HavenHouse vehicles from our location to various medical facilities in and around St. Louis. Our Volunteers can choose to drive a single route once a week or as many routes multiple days a week as they are comfortable.

Many don't know that ovarian cancer is the leading cause of female gynecologic deaths because there is no early detection test. That is why every year we unite for our cherished Together in Teal Walk. This event provides an opportunity to honor all those in our community who have been impacted by ovarian cancer and helps raise awareness about the disease. Join the volunteer team at the Jewish Community Pantry.The Jewish Community Pantry provides emergency food to individuals and families in crisis throughout the greater Milwaukee community. Connecting guests to community resources, while increasing our community’s awareness of hunger’s impact and working to alleviate its impact, the Pantry is our Jewish communal response to hunger in Milwaukee.
We serve our clients inside the pantry on 29th and Center St. Positions include interviewing, stocking, and greeting clients. The pantry is open every Tuesday from 4pm - 6pm and Thursday from 9am – 12pm.
Volunteers can work Tuesday 3:30pm - 6pm, Thursday 8am – 10:15am, and 10:15am – 12:30pm.

Our Gala helps us fundraise to continue to be able to do the work than we do. It is also a thank you for those who show us that continued support, as we could not serve the people we serve without the generosity of those in attendance. Over the years we’ve rallied up 100,000 volunteers at over 10,000 events to make and donate hugs in a bowl to local agencies that serve at-risk families and individuals in your community. We have partnered with some of our favourite cooking schools and culinary partners to create a stir at any one of their locations.We offer these PAID FOR VOLUNTEER events in 9 cities across Canada. Registration fees vary from city to city, but each includes a simple meal, two beverages, and YES, all of the ingredients required to make the soup that we will donate on your behalf. The Connecticut Alzheimer's Association recognizes caregivers, honors loved ones lost, and provides support to families and individuals who are facing the challenges of Alzheimer's disease. As a Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee Member, you can assist with planning the event on one of many levels. You might be involved in overall event planning, or you can assist with retention, marketing and communications, sponsorship, or fundraising!*New members are welcome to join any time throughout the year.
