Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation assists in funding the operation, educational activities and services of Northern Illinois Hospice, working to ensure that quality hospice care options are available to all those in need in our community. Northern Illinois Hospice and Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation are 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organizations. All donations and support remain local benefiting our patients in the counties we serve: Boone, Winnebago, Stephenson, McHenry and Ogle. Rockvinia is a benefit event coordinated and planned by Northern Illinois Hospice Foundation board members, community volunteers and staff to generate significant financial support and philanthropic goodwill exclusively for Northern Illinois Hospice.

Opportunity Details

Through mentoring, tutoring, support groups, recreational and character education programs, Heart Haven OutReach (H2O) has touched and dramatically changed the lives of over 3,000 teens (grades 6-12) since opening its doors in 2005. This is a phenomenal testament to our caring community and huge cause for celebration! On Thursday, July 11, we are having our 16th anniversary event, and hoping to raise enough funds to strengthen our middle school programming. This is our main fundraising event which allows our staff to focus more on serving our students during the rest of the year, and not raising funds.

Opportunity Details

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD or autism) is the leading and fastest-growing developmental disability in the U.S. "1 in 36 children are affected." ASD is more common than Aids, cancer, and juvenile diabetes combined; a child is diagnosed every 11 minutes. The cost of care for one child with autism for one year is estimated at $60,000 annually. The lifetime cost of care may extend up to $2.4 million. Hope For Three provides resources and support in the form of financial aid to local families and children living with autism. In short, we bridge the gap between providers and families so children can access a higher quality of care at the earliest stage of life possible. Early intervention is crucial to improve life outcomes and help children reach their full potential.

The 9th annual Golf Fore Autism charity tournament aims to raise autism awareness and funds to benefit local families and provide access to services and support for uninsured or underserved children with autism. We strive to sell out the tournament with 220 players and reach a monetary goal of $180,000. To double our impact, we take on both courses at the luxurious Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land, TX. During the 2023 tournament, 214 golfers played, and the organization raised an astounding $167,000. Please help us to serve more autistic children and loved ones.
