This spring fundraiser will help Riley's Army sponsor 21 children to Camp Rainbow- a week long summer camp for children with cancer

Riley's Army is excited to kick off our 2 day spring fundraising event with a dinner and some entertainment the night before the golf tournament at the Murphy Center at 6:00pm. The Teed off at Cancer Dinner will include guest speaker Coach Cliff Godwin (ECU baseball coach) and some wonderful music by Mark, Kelly and John. Our emcees for the evening are Brian Bailey (WNCT) and Billy Weaver (WITN), especially important for announcing the raffle drawing winners. The silent auction provides an opportunity for guests to bring home some amazing gifts/products/services! We are expecting an evening of fun, entertainment and socializing with over 140-150 golfers, their spouses, and community members. This is is our spring fundraiser and will help us reach our goal of supporting 21 children to Camp Rainbow- a week long summer camp in June for children with cancer.Available Shifts

Opportunity Details
Ruff Start Rescue will be partnering with the national non-profit RescueRebuild this June to help enhance our facility in Princeton. We will be tackling several construction projects from June 6th through the 19th. The most exciting of these projects is the design and construction of our catio. A catio allows cats to free-roam outdoors but in a safe and secure environment. This expansion will ensure the cats in our facility have additional space to play, explore, and lounge.Volunteers can be any age and come with a variety of skill sets. No experience is necessary. This also means this volunteer opportunity is family friendly. There is no time commitment on this role either. You must dedicate at least 3 hours of your time during the scheduled event date. We can take on many volunteers each day so if you have a group who may be interested we are happy to accommodate.
Some duties may include design, painting, demolition, construction, landscaping/gardening, arts and crafts, transport of supplies and equipment. If you like to bake or cook, we are also looking for volunteers to bring food items to share. This is a long and labor intensive project so we want to keep volunteers well fed.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of our volunteer request for our spring fundraising event. We are the DeKalb Music Boosters, and we are a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission, as the primary advocate for the middle school and high school music programs in DeKalb, is to serve and assist the music performance programs, their students and their directors. As Music Boosters, our overall purpose is to bring to students an appreciation of making music a lifelong activity.We provide supplemental funding and volunteer service to the high school and middle school music programs. We support all orchestra, band and choir ensembles at the schools. 100% of the donations we receive go towards supporting these programs. Donations are used to purchase instruments, music or equipment or to offset travel expenses for music groups to participate in competitions and festivals. DeKalb Music Boosters operates on a completely volunteer basis. Our members all donate time and resources to make funding possible.
Our 2nd Annual Kentucky Derby Night - Hats Horses & Harmony fundraiser is on April 14, 2018, and it will have a silent auction, musical performances and simulated horse races with prizes. All proceeds from our fundraiser go towards achieving our goals mentioned above. We are seeking volunteers that can assist with set up for the event at River Heights Golf Course at 1020 Sharon Dr, DeKalb from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and/or to assist at the event itself for ticket sales and silent auction monitoring from 5:00 p.m. till 10:30 p.m. whatever 3 hour shifts you want to set (we have flexibility in shifts).

The South Oldham Fire Auxiliary will be hosting the Fourth Annual South Oldham Fire Run on May 27th, 2018 at 7:00 PM. The unique 5K Run/Walk and 5 mile Firefighter Challenge (a more challenging course, open to all), a family event, will feature a “dispatch start” with participants walking/running along a fire-lit path through Yew Dell Botanical Gardens. 100% of proceeds benefit REST Resources for Emergency Services Team a firehouse program to support our first responders and their families in emergency situation. First responders put others needs before their own and always answer the call. This program allows us to respond to their needs when an emergency arises in their life.Available Shifts

The purpose of this activity is to raise funds for the local American Heritage Girls Troop. There are 49 girls in the troop and if we raise enough with our fall fundraiser, we will only do one this year. These funds give us the ability to spend time training the girls in leadership skills, outdoor skills, and much more. AHG is a terrific place to learn life skills and make friends in an environment free from bullying. We also provide scholarships for girls who want to join but can't afford to.Available Shifts

March for Babies raises critical funds to support the March of Dimes critical research and innovative programs that will ultimately lead to a lower rate of premature birth, birth defects and infant loss. March for Babies is a 5K walk held at the Lawn at Reunion Tower where 20,000 participants will hope, remember and celebrate moms and babies nationwide.Volunteers will not be participating in the run.
