CrowdDoing is a joint initiative of Reframe It Inc. and Match4Action Foundation that is focused on helping address the UN Sustainable Development Goals and beyond through micro-leadership, massively multi-disciplinary collaboration, and service-learning to support social innovation and social enterprise to achieve systemic change.

 

CrowdDoing works in sustainability, anti-poverty, public health, education, and research. We approach each collective challenge through the lens of operating leverage for systems change via social innovation. This allows us to identify different under-utilized capacities that could make addressing problems in our society more feasible in the future. At CrowdDoing, each of us adopts a dimension of a larger challenge.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive the success of every key project or program that the organization seeks to accomplish. Day to day, they align projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, manage teams, achieve milestones, and communicate the result across a stakeholder audience.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.

 

Responsibilities

Understanding of Social Innovation
Manage the project plans
Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
Help teams to get projects done
Coordinate cross-project activities
To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements
Provide operational support
Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed
 

 

 

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as a Project Manager or other managerial position for 2 years
Professional certification-including PMP/PRINCE II or any relevant baseline training.
Proven stakeholder management skills.
System thinking mindset
Project planning skill set
Experience in handling project management software.
Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Should be able to contribute a minimum 5hr Per week

Create printed and web graphics for food-related content.

Essential Tasks:
Sit in on conceptual design meetings and offer educated opinions.
Determine voice and messaging for graphic design pieces.
Advice on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
Select colors, font, images, and layout.
Create visualizations (either by hand or via a software program) that convey accurate messaging and undertones as dictated by the project.

CrowdDoing is a global virtual collaboration to research medicinal foods for stress, sleep and anxiety. Our project has the goal of advancing integration across fields of research and to build medicinal foods literacies in the population.

Medicinal Foods for Stress, Sleep and Anxiety is recruiting a Volunteers for Medicinal Foods, CrowdDoing.We're helping to build medicinal foods literacy and citizen science of foods & herbs for Stress, Sleep and Anxiety.



As a volunteer Full Stack Developer, you’ll collaborate within the Digital Product Team to build software that addresses our clients’ health needs and help us grow our user base.
We hope you will be able to contribute part time about 7-10 hours a week for about 90 days.


Volunteer will bring specialized experience in the areas of:
* Front end development with Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML
* Experience with Java/J2EE technologies
* Familiarity with DevOps concepts, tools and continuous delivery pipelines

Preferred experience in the following areas would be value added:
* Cloud/AWS technologies
* Operate with an owner's mindset.
Having all of these technologies is not required, but we will value your interest in learning them.

You know the right patterns, anti-patterns, techniques, and approaches to make things simpler for your colleagues and more reliable for our users.
You excel at transforming ideas to usable prototypes within a short timeframe because you know which corners to cut, what assumptions to make now, and what to refactor later.
You have worked on a variety of projects, big and small, and can collaborate effectively under uncertainty and ambiguity.

Responsibilities
* Raise the quality of outcomes delivered by the team you are on.
* Develop software in teams of 3-5 developers. With the ability to take on tasks from the team and independently work on them to completion.
* Follow best practices to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and tested software.
* Work collaboratively with Product Managers and stakeholders to design solutions that help our users

Skills and Qualifications
* 1+ years experience
* Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
* Experience or strong understanding with high scalability, data intensive applications
* Proficiency in modern software languages and willingness to quickly learn our technology stack

* PostgreSQL
* Others as required
