Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of female gynecologic deaths because there is no early detection test. That is why every year we unite for our cherished Together in Teal Walk event. This event provides an opportunity to honor all those in our community who have been impacted by ovarian cancer and helps raise awareness about the disease. From water station management, to directing traffic, to helping with tent activities, we rely on day-of volunteers to help the event run smoothly.

“Calling All Volunteers!” Join our ongoing Banner Project which has been completely re-engineered for 2022.

Volunteers support the project by coloring pages using our new 2022 digital coloring process which helps us to create a one-of-a-kind "Welcome Home Banner" for a child who has Cancer. You'll be helping us brighten their room when they get home from the hospital!

SIDE NOTE: If you volunteered in the past with this project, you know that historically Volunteer Kits were shipped to the team captain at your store. The captains then coordinated getting the materials dispersed and the projects completed with the individual team members.

Going forward, we are thrilled to invite you to volunteer using our new Online Digital Volunteer Platform.

Please sign-up for the event here as you normally do. Next, navigate to our online digital platform which has detailed and complete step-by-step instructions on the new process.
To reach the new digital platform, copy and paste the following url into your browser's address bar: https://braveheartsforkids.org/community-volunteer-platform

You may also navigate to the platform by clicking the Website Link at the bottom of this page.

Thanks again for stepping up to support the BraveHearts Banner project! Your volunteer service helps provide hope and inspiration to Kids battling cancer and their Families too!

FOR MORE INFO AND TO SIGN UP: https://www.codepath.org/volunteers/technical-interview-coaching

CodePath.org is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit increasing diversity in tech by transforming college computer science education for underrepresented minorities and underserved populations.

We partner with Microsoft, Facebook, and other tech companies to create modern, job-focused courses which we integrate into existing computer science programs in 70+ colleges and universities across the U.S. We have taught over 10,000 students since 2017, with thousands of our alumni now working in SWE roles.

Our most popular offering is the Technical Interview Prep course -- we need help from engineers and tech professionals.

The 12-week course relies on volunteer coaches who help guide a small group of students through practice problems and mock interviews. Over the course of the program, you will build a relationship with your students and become a professional resource for them as they begin their career in tech.

Will you join us this fall? We are looking for live virtual mentor support for 1 hour per week for 9 weeks on Saturdays (10.30am PT / 1.30pm ET). Training is provided before the launch and support from CodePath is provided throughout the duration of the course.

Benefits for volunteers:
- Opportunity to give back and address systemic bias in tech
- Ability to form connections with high achieving CS students looking for internships and full-time jobs
- Training and continued support by CodePath staff to improve communication and teaching skills
- Performance feedback from students
- Low weekly commitment of 1-2 hours per week for 9 weeks this fall
