The 2022 March for Marrow California will celebrate 13 years of advocacy this year by staging its first IN-PERSON March for Marrow LA since 2019. The 13th Annual March for Marrow 5K Run and Patient & Family Walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Shoreline Village in Long Beach California.

March for Marrow California persevered through COVID-19 with VIRTUAL events. Last year we even went STATEWIDE, running and walking from southern to northern California. We are going to continue that option, because California is a huge state, with many rural areas where doctors have never seen a bone marrow failure patient – and we need to educate them for that first case.

To satisfy our statewide reach in 2021, we produced a video event recognizing many of our wonderful sponsors, doctors, patients, family members and partners in California. This year it is back to basics with a 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk for individuals or teams; our Champion TBA; lots of comradery; and our popular Silent Auction with some wonderful gifts from our generous committee members up and down the state.

We also provide a mentoring program in the central part of broward Fort Lauderdale and Unincorporated Broward to assist our young man and young ladies.
