Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring, in which a child facing adversity is carefully matched with a caring adult mentor in a relationship supported by professional Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members, changes lives for the better forever.

Lobby and negotiate for fruitful partnerships with relevant stakeholders and partners such as other nonprofits, charities, companies, Universities and research institutions, banks etc.The concept of volunteerism in itself is a base for self-development and empowerment in various spheres oriented per one’s needs. Above all, Volunteering is an opportunity to support a cause which one cares for and advocates for as being useful to the society. It is a treasurable gift or donation to lend others one’s time.

We accept and receive refurbished material items that will foster our work in the field, beneficiaries are always looking up to receive even the least material item that contributes in making their lives better.
Are you able to negotiate for used computers/laptops, sewing machines, cars, photographic equipment, furniture, books, toys for children, bicycles to assist children go to school, menstrual kits for girls, dresses etc? This is the right organization to volunteer for.

CMHA Calgary is frequently invited to numerous community events and fundraisers throughout the year at workplaces, community centres, schools and other public places. Attending these events are a great way for CMHA Calgary to connect with people and let them know what kind of services are available through our organization.We are looking for volunteers to support CMHA Calgary at various community events.
This position involves having some knowledge about CMHA Calgary programs and how to refer people who have questions to the appropriate resources at CMHA Calgary. This position does not require expert knowledge about mental health or involve counselling people. You will be trained on how to speak about CMHA Calgary programs. Volunteers will not be sent to an event on their own, and will always be accompanied by a CMHA Calgary staff member. Volunteers may be required to pick-up and drop-off the required material for the event.

Help Onward Hope staff set up, clean up, and facilitate the Transformations Center Grand Opening event! The more help we have, the quicker set up and clean up will go and the better our event will be.Onward Hope is a youth-focused, community-based non-profit and foster care and adoption agency, and we are the only alumni-founded and run organization in the state. Our mission is empowering and connecting youth and families today for a strong future tomorrow, and our vision is to enable at-risk youth to realize their full potential while becoming the leading transition, preservation, and permanency services corporation in Arizona.
We are opening a community center, the Transformations Center, for young people aged 14 - 29 that have experienced foster care, juvenile justice, or other systems. The Center will act as a fun, safe, and effective space for youth to learn & gain life skills, make meaningful connections with peers, and achieve their greatest potential. With the help of community leaders, partners, and volunteers, the Center will provide a wide variety of numerous opportunities that will change hundreds of lives for years to come.
