Goodwin Connections is building a Development and Outreach Committee in 2021. This committee’s primary function will be to support the organization’s fundraising efforts and assist in sharing our mission and success stories with potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors, as well as building relationships with other nonprofit organizations. This committee’s focus will include assisting with event conception, planning, and execution; providing input on fundraising communications such as newsletters and appeals, and strengthening our relationships with new and existing donors. Our Board of Directors possess an interest in animal health & welfare and provide the strategic direction, resources, and oversight for the organization to be successful in achieving its vision and mission.

We are currently seeking individuals who wish to use their professional expertise to make a difference in our communities statewide.

Ideal Candidates Have:

Senior management and governance experience.
Strategy and policy development experience.
Previous nonprofit board or committee experience.
Strong ties to the Canyon County and Ada County communities.
Willing to be an ambassador or advocate of the organization to assist in raising profile and funds.
A strategic and open mindset coupled with a sense of urgency to get things done.
Team player with ability to participate and contribute in a variety of different initiatives.

Outreach Free Clinic and Resource Center provides free health care and prescription services to low income uninsured residents. The clinic is supported by a variety of volunteers assisting in different capacities. The clinic has a current need for volunteers with experience and a desire to help in areas of clerical, maintenance, bookkeeping, and marketing to name a few. These crucial volunteer positions help keep the clinic running in tip-top shape so we can serve the community efficiently and thoroughly. Volunteer service can be a one-time based timeframe for a few hours or an ongoing weekly commitment.
