The Wine and Music Festival 2023 fundraiser brings both national and local jazz musicians to Harford County.

We believe that MUSIC "soothes" the savage beast. For TWC, that could be a health disorder or someone riddled with stress for one of many reasons including raising funds for homeownership which this event is created just for that reason--to assist women with children with their downpayment and closing cost expenses.

Opportunity Details

Packing shoebox gifts for needy children in other countries to spread the love of Jesus to them. Many of these children have never gotten a gift before in their life. We will pack shoeboxes with school supplies, hygiene items, clothes, and toys. These supplies and gifts were donated by Greenwood Baptist Church members and the volunteers will help pack them in shoeboxes to be delivered by Samaritans Purse.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who encourage their colleagues, friends & family and support by raising funds for our initiative of providing Food items (#grocery kits) for a month. For Covid 19 we are focusing on two items:

1. Short term - To provide grocery ration kits to poor families. Each kit cost us Rs. 600/- (USD 8) per family.
2. Long Term - Helping poor families to start their own small businesses (specially women) in the villages and providing them seed funds, mentoring & market linkages etc. for one year. Tailoring, Parlor, Saloon, Handicraft, Cosmetic shop, Pickle, Cloth making, Milk Production etc. are some of the type of businesses. Each family support will cost around Rs.15,000 (USD 200) to set up a permanent business.

This will be A.I.R. Project's 4th Annual Soles for A.I.R. Community Event. To raise awareness for National Domestic Violence Awareness and National Bullying Prevention Awareness, in October, we provide a new pair of shoes to under-served and at risk youth who have been exposed to or been victimized by domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, bullying and other forms of abuse. As a Registration Assistor you will:

Be the first line of contact for our attendees which requires a welcoming attitude, and friendly personality
Sign attendees in who have registered by checking their names off on the pre-generated registration list
Provide instructions to attendees on what to have ready for shoe pick up time
Sign attendees in who are not registered, by having the attendee to sign in on a separate sign in sheet
Make sure all attendees sign the media waiver form
Direct attendees where to go after signing in
Provide any additional hand outs (if necessary)
Hand out raffle tickets (if necessary)

Please keep in mind, this opportunity is ideal for 2-3 people who have the ability to work well with others, pay attention to detail, be thorough, customer service oriented and can work under slight pressure.

Pre-event training may be required to ensure smooth registration process the day of the event. More details can be provided to those interested.
