Thank you for helping us mail supplies for our Summer Camp Campaign in May. Your assistance will save me a bunch of time! Please see directions below.

For the pre-sealed envelopes:
1. Place address label in center of envelope
2. Place summer camp sticker in the bottom right corner of envelope

For open envelopes:
1. Place 2 additional small posters inside the envelope
2. Seal the envelope
3. Place address label in center of envelope
4. Place summer camp sticker in the bottom right corner of envelope

Once completed, please call me at 408-510-9063 so I can pick up the envelopes for mailing.

Opportunity Details

For this volunteer task, we have a large event happening in the fall at the Harley-Davidson dealership in Beaumont, Texas. We want to invite their major vendors/partners from around the Southeast Texas region to come and want the invitations to feel very personal. To do this, we would like to have each envelope addressed personally to their partners. This allows their partners to come out to a fun gala, while also raising the funds necessary to keep our organization running for our families

Opportunity Details

Day volunteers are asked to arrive at the MDA Houston office Saturday morning to pick-up their firefighter kits which includes their assigned intersections, map and cookies.

• When you arrive to your intersection, firefighters will be there Filling the Boot. Volunteers are asked to take a picture with or of the firefighters and send it to the designated staff lead that day. (Details of lead will be shared with you that morning)
• Please send pictures along with the visited station number and your organization’s name (If you belong to one) before you drive to the next intersection. Pictures will be simultaneously shared on our Houston MDA Facebook page during the hours of 10 am – 2 pm.
• If the firefighters are not at their intersection, they may be out on an emergency call. Please drive to their fire station, which is usually located nearby the assigned intersection, enter the fire station or leave at the door a “Sorry We Missed You” sign along with specified amount of cookies.
• Please complete all your intersections before 2 pm.
• Please follow ALL traffic signals and ensure your safety before walking towards firefighters.
• Once all your stations are complete, please text your staff lead and let them know.

Global Brigades offers 7-9 day Medical Brigades throughout the year in Honduras, Panama and Nicaragua. During a Medical Brigade, volunteers have the opportunity to take vitals and patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors in medical consultations, and assist in a pharmacy under the direction of licensed pharmacists. The event planned is for fundraising to go abroad, which will be a car wash. The car wash will be great way for our club member’s to have some fun, get to know one another, and most importantly raise money for a great cause!
