Trunk to Treasures is a fundraising event sponsored by the Friends of the Ray Township Library and Historical Society to raise money for Phase II of the Renovation project which will completely renovate the Children's Room, add two computers in the Children's Room, and provide for a custom archival cabinet in the Library. Our Library is housed in an 1863 one-room schoolhouse. The quaint building is unique but makes renovations difficult. Our budget is very limited so the Friends Group provides creative ways to support programs and improvements to the Library. Volunteers have worked since the Library opened in 1983 to support the goals of giving Library patrons the best materials, services, and programs possible.

Opportunity Details

At Vision Forward, we provide comprehensive services to all individuals experiencing vision loss, helping them achieve important developmental milestones as well as educational, personal and professional goals.

Our annual event, Dining in the Dark is a unique event where guests dine under blindfold, and take a journey into the world of vision loss, discovering a deeper understanding and awareness of what people who are blind or visually impaired face. This event raises vital funds for children, youth and adults with vision loss.

About 200 guests will be joining us on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at The Italian Community Center to help us raise awareness of vision loss and to support our mission.

Your team will be crafting, creating and assembling these super fun themed packages guaranteed to deliver a boost of hope and hours of activity for these special children during their hospital stay. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble the Hope Bags. A prepaid UPS label is also included to ship your donation to your local facility. If your team cannot complete the box within two weeks of your scheduled event please contact your hope box coordinator as children are awaiting your Hope Box donation. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for a child in your local hospital.
